The idea is sound, and the execution is a bit rough but it gets the job done. And it has some charm. But after spending one full hour of clicking and draging items in an interface to advance one step in the plot/questline/ppt slide is just wrong! No pay to win game would make it so difficult and frustrating to spend in game currency. I do like a good grind, but after spending that hour and finally completing that step. You get another one just like it. I just quit and uninstall right there.
Irony became ironic It's fine to make a game that mocking cash-grab concepts or pretty much anything as long as it brings something that actually can be considered funny. However, if you heard about P2W and played any of the games of this kind you are at least subconsciously know everything that this game tells you. And the biggest flaw and reason why this game have some meta-level of irony in itself is that you still have to do something tedious without ability to "buy the time". It was funny when you had to enchance the sword to +10 or open dozens of lootboxes to get the item you need, however it was also very irritating to press that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ + button on your balance to be able to buy the crystals. I spent so much time doing this without any option (apart from auto-clicker) to avoid it, so it felt like it was either added as some additional trolling or (which is more beliavable) was just an exposition of mere laziness. As a wise man once said "You were supposed to destroy the sith, not join them"
The harsh truth of gameDev. Actually boring
It's not worth it. You have to add funds before you can buy gems, which involves clicking a + button for $0.20 at a time. You'll end up needing to click the button hundreds if not thousands of times. Even if it is trying to educate about p2w in games, it's just not fun -- which may be the point, but I could learn the things it's trying to teach just by using google, which is both free and not mind-numbing.
网游教科书 这游戏里面揭露的坑钱技巧可以说是经典级别的
The idea is actually real good, explanations well done, but execution and gameplay are poor. It is not necessary to get the point across by actually making players drag-drop items from one window to the next, like, hundreds of times. How about posting a screen "several hundred tries later..." instead? Unplayable without autoclicker to up the cash-"balance" as well. Majority of people won't likely play very far, not learning much, which is sad, because the screens ("lectures") do contain useful info. But it's not even realistic. No one would really play through parts like the one where the "quest" is to upgrade all your gear in a regular MMO. Yea, point granted, they do exactly that over a loooong time, which makes them forget the hundreds of "fails". But also the amounts you pay at this point for parts are ridiculously over-exaggerated as well. So imo you are better off to watch a video about the psychology of P2W than waste time and nerves playing this; after around 20 mins it becomes so tedious, that most will likely miss the 'message' of lecture 4-6. I also wasn't "catched" by any "trick" - as it was supposed to show me -, but literally forced myself to the end for research-purposes. Edit: My playtime to finally reach the 'secret' at the end: 3.5h, quite some waiting/coffee-time for autoclicker included.
This game is a HIDDEN GEM. If you played SCAM MMOs like MIR4, you will definitely love this game. If you, like me, spent THOUSANDS of dollars in scam MMOs and is tired of that, this game is for you. some things are very blatant scams, others are so disguised and pass unnoticed that even we very smart people with nice jobs don't even notice... The only reason why it is not on overwhelmingly positive reviews might be because people thought it was a "normal game". It is not. It doesn't mean it is a bad game tho. It is what it says it is. The game itself is also catchy, if you like MMOs, you will be tempted to play at least a decent bit of it (I'll come back revisit to the review when I have more hours of game to confirm that). Aaand confirmed. The game is great and catchy. I couldn't stay angry with the game even after losing a mission that took about an hour to make 90% of it, simply because it was my fault. The save came back, but I forgot to read that it only saves when you actually finish a mission, unlike MMOs where you can close and return to where you left off. Probably just another scam from some MMO that has the save that way! The only caveat I have is that you should use an autoclick control, because it takes a lot of clicks to beat this game
