PawPrint

"PawPrint" is a rather unusual, and I dare say almost horrible (and probably at least in part asset flipped) activity set to simulate various cat owning experiences [i]marketed to people who lost their cats[/i]. This is ridiculously insenstive to say the least... are you suffering grief? Play this asset flip! Apalling isn't a good enough word. It's horrid. According to the developer, PawPrint is a free-to-play simulation game with idler and RPG elements, focused on virtual cats. Players create a cat, often meant to represent one they've lost. Activities include running to earn coins, buying items like food, customizing the cat, and journaling. The experience is basic and currently only available in Chinese. Tone deaf developers aside, this activity set doesn't replicate the joyful experience of finding out what your cat used for a toilet or where they threw up, which bit of furniture or potted plant they destroyed today, or how much vet bills cost. Very unrealistic. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

Общая оценка: 2/10 Что-то максимально бессмысленное. Тебе дают комнату с котом, где почти ничего нельзя делать. Дают возможность побегать за этого кота в пустом и полностью беззвучном лесу, где можно пройти насквозь через любой объект. Да и... всё.

Игра PawPrint - это очаровательное приключение в роли бездомного кота. С первых минут покоряет своим визуальным стилем - всё выглядит мило и уютно, как в детской книжке. Геймплей сосредоточен на исследовании города, поиске еды и налаживании отношений с другими животными и людьми. Понравилась атмосфера, она одновременно трогательная и немного грустная, передает ощущения одиночества и поисков дома. Задания не блещут оригинальностью, но выполнены качественно и мотивируют продолжать игру. Особенно здорово взаимодействовать с разными персонажами, у каждого своя история и характер. Из минусов - иногда не хватает динамики, игра может показаться немного монотонной. Также, анимация местами выглядит простовато. Но в целом, PawPrint - это приятный и расслабляющий опыт, который оставит после себя тёплые чувства. Рекомендую всем любителям кошек и незамысловатых, но душевных инди-игр.

[h1]コンセプトは良いと思うが作りが…[/h1] 猫飼育ゲームかと思って起動すると、何やら猫の頭に輪っかが。説明を読むとわかるが亡くなった猫との生活を続けようというもの。なので猫の見た目（色）や毛量、太さなどを、在りし日の姿を目指して変更できる。 ゲームそのものは簡単な世話ができる部屋と、その猫になって散歩できる2つから成っている。散歩モードで放置していると勝手にお金がたまるので、それで飯やおやつを買ってあげる。 そういうコンセプトは良いと思うが、いかんせん作りが追いついていない印象。部屋モードのメインは猫の見た目変更だと思うがうまく機能しない印象。中国語なのでよく分からん部分はあるにしても、何やらうまく動かない気がする。また、猫の見た目で変えられるのは主に模様と色なので、猫に愛着がある人ほど不満が出るんじゃないかと想像する。 散歩モードは色々できそうではあるもののできない。オブジェクトの判定が地面ぐらいしか無いので木に登ったり水に入りたくなかったり、そういう事は特にない。そもそも何で急に猫操作になっちゃうのかもわからない。 ただし、角度さえついてればSPACE長押しの連続ジャンプで登っていける点は良い。猫を垂直近い角度にしてしまえばかなり急な坂も登っていける。どうやってそこにったのかという猫の不思議が表現されているのかもしれない。 もっとどこかに絞った方が良いと思った。試しにプレイしてみるぶんには良いと思う。
