Joguinho bem legal. Hey, devs, excellent game. Congrats. My kids loved it, but I'd like to give only 2 hints: The main menu needs a left or close application button. Maybe ESC? Or some other keyboard key? I don't know, but it's needed for sure. The other hint is: there is too much talking for younglings. Come on, all that talking frustrate kids. Also, there is not even one "skip" button, and imagine that when my 2 and 4 years-old kids are playing in an English game with Brazilian Portuguese subtitles? Are you following me? Yeah, horrible. No need for all that talking with no skip option. Pls, update this.
Paw Patrol: On a Roll, developed by Torus Games and published by Outright Games Ltd., is a lighthearted and colorful adventure designed squarely for the youngest of players and devoted fans of the beloved animated series. The game captures the charm of Adventure Bay and the cheerful spirit of the rescue pups, transforming the show’s teamwork-focused missions into a simple platforming experience that prioritizes accessibility over complexity. It’s immediately clear that this title was built with children in mind rather than general audiences, and because of that, its value lies not in intricate mechanics or challenge, but in its ability to introduce first-time gamers to a safe, engaging, and easily understandable digital playground. For parents seeking an age-appropriate game that reflects the positivity of the television series, it fulfills its purpose with sincerity. The gameplay structure of Paw Patrol: On a Roll is straightforward and intentionally repetitive, following a formula that children can easily learn and repeat. Each of the sixteen missions features two of the Paw Patrol members working together to solve problems around Adventure Bay—rescuing animals, clearing paths, and assisting townsfolk. Each pup brings their own unique ability, such as Chase’s speed or Rubble’s strength, and missions alternate between characters to ensure variety within the simple two-dimensional side-scrolling framework. There is no combat, no fail state, and minimal challenge, allowing children to explore freely without frustration. The absence of traditional difficulty makes the game relaxing, while the gentle encouragement from Ryder and the familiar jingles from the series create a sense of comfort. For very young players, it strikes an ideal balance between engagement and ease of play, helping them feel successful as they progress through each mission. Visually, the game stays faithful to the show’s style, presenting bright colors, clear outlines, and cheerful character animations that are instantly recognizable to fans. While it lacks the visual polish of larger productions, it doesn’t need it; the art direction works perfectly for the audience it’s meant to reach. The environments, from snowy mountains to sunny beaches, are diverse enough to keep things visually stimulating without overwhelming the player. The interface is clean and large-texted, making navigation easy for children, and the controls—particularly when using a controller—are intuitive and responsive. The decision to eliminate the risk of failure contributes to an atmosphere of encouragement rather than competition, which aligns with the educational tone of the Paw Patrol brand. The game’s soundtrack mirrors this sense of optimism with upbeat melodies that reinforce its kid-friendly identity. That said, from a more experienced gamer’s perspective, the simplicity of Paw Patrol: On a Roll may quickly verge on monotony. The missions, while pleasant, follow nearly identical structures with only cosmetic differences between them. The puzzles are minimal, and progression consists mainly of basic platforming sequences and context-sensitive interactions triggered by button presses. While this is appropriate for the game’s intended audience, it offers little depth or variety for anyone beyond the early childhood range. Parents joining in to help may notice the repetition or wish for a bit more interactivity. Some aspects of production also fall short of expectations: the voice acting is limited to Ryder’s brief guidance, leaving the pups themselves without their familiar voices, which may slightly disappoint children accustomed to hearing them speak on the show. These omissions don’t ruin the experience, but they make the adaptation feel less alive than it could have been. Despite these shortcomings, the game succeeds in being an excellent introductory experience for children who are new to gaming. It helps develop motor skills, pattern recognition, and confidence without the frustration of failure. The lack of timers, health systems, or enemy threats ensures that play remains focused on discovery and problem-solving rather than reflexes or competition. Its short length—roughly four to five hours to complete—also fits well with a young child’s attention span, making it an ideal weekend game or a fun co-op activity for parents and kids to enjoy together. The missions are upbeat, the goals are always positive, and the moral undertone of teamwork and helpfulness remains consistent throughout. Ultimately, Paw Patrol: On a Roll is not a game that tries to impress through innovation or depth; instead, it finds success in being approachable, safe, and familiar. It’s a genuine attempt to translate the spirit of the animated series into a format that small children can engage with on their own. While older players will likely find its structure repetitive and its mechanics shallow, for its target audience, it offers a wholesome and confidence-building experience that feels both fun and achievable. As a first gaming experience for preschool-aged children or a bonding activity for families, it stands out as a friendly and accessible option. Paw Patrol: On a Roll delivers exactly what it promises—a cheerful, low-stress adventure where every mission ends with success, every pup does their part, and every young player feels like a hero. Rating: 8/10
Lite buggigt.
it doesn't matter if I don't recommend this. your kid loves paw patrol and you're going to buy it. the game is well made and fairly straightforward. my 4 y/o couldn't play independently without guidance, but then loved returning and doing the same level repeatedly...endlessly. 6 y/o enjoyed the concept for an hour but fell out of engagement faster than I would have hoped. so be warned: your kid will maybe not engage with the game long, depending on their interest and other available games. To me, the value per dollar drops off there. The game itself seems to not have issues while also kinda being slop for not being a good game, rather, accomplishes the goal of being A game that is fine and carries the franchise we're all bound to be involved with as parents.

My 3.5 year old loves this game. She asked me if I would click the yes thumbs up, so this review is from her.
The game does NOT allow changing the language, despite listing support for 8+ languages on Steam. I downloaded PAW Patrol: On a Roll! on Steam expecting to switch the in-game language. The store page claims support for more than eight languages, including German. In reality, the game works only in English. There is no option to change the language through: in-game settings, Steam language settings, Windows system language, configuration files, launch parameters, or editing game data. Language switching is completely impossible. The game ignores the system language and provides no access to any of the listed localizations. This is a serious issue for parents who want their children to learn or practice another language. I specifically wanted my child to play in German, but enabling it is impossible. Players have discussed this problem on forums for years — no solution exists. The game was released in 2012, and almost 15 years later this defect still hasn’t been fixed. If the game supports only English, this should be stated clearly on the Steam page. Listing 8+ languages while providing no way to switch to them is misleading for customers. A major negative point from me: the complete lack of language switching despite claiming multi-language support. PAW Patrol: On a Roll!
