I found it somewhat easy (I beat it in 50 minutes, then played through again to get 100% achievements), but I would still recommend it. Not to everyone, but for someone who wants to gamify interval recognition practice.

I only recommend this game to someone who actually know about musical notes otherwise you have to brute force the whole game. since I didn't know anything about notes, I thought I could learn them by listening to them through this game but I was wrong. I wished the game could learn me step by step on how to read or hear the notes but that's asking too much for it's price. Partitas is more of a practice game for musicians rather than a learning game for someone with no knowledge of musical notes.
You need to be musically trained to play this, it will be similar to brute forcing a password if you can't recognize the intervals. The game does not flash the note names during playback, so it'll be up to you to learn to read sheet music. If you can't read sheet music, relative pitch won't be of help to you. Dragging a note to a missing section gives you the feedback if it's right or wrong immediately, doesn't seem like the right way of designing it, you can finish by dragging notes until you get it right. Incredibly barebones, I would rather use MuseScore then transcribe the music myself to replace this game. Conclusion: Brute Force the solution to win.
Who can refuse the combination of classical music and classical pixel art? At least I cannot.
Splendid music game! This is a beautiful little game that can help out with note recognition and sight reading. It's presented in a way that isn't overly reliant on musical knowledge and I think could be figured out even by someone with no prior training but knowing how to read music and some basic intervals is a plus. Personally I was a cellist and while my bass clef reading is good my treble clef reading is not and I was constantly reciting FACE and Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge. There's a nice selection of pieces presented and the pixel art has a cozy feel. Most certainly worth a dollar.
Nice game, but it's too short. Also, the time signature and the key signature are missing. For a classical music lover, this is unacceptable. If it was Erik Satie's, it's OK. But in this case, it's Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, etc. Sorry, but it's a no for me.
