Reviews
The most fun I've had with a life sim. The bugs are annoying, but that's just something to expect when playing EA games. I'm very excited about where this game's development is going!
Paralives is not only a much needed new addition to the life simulator genre, but it's also clearly made with love and passion. Although the game is only in early access it's really cozy and already has some really cool features, like an open world, custom world building, an extremely flexible build / buy mode (with levels of customization similar to Planet Coaster, but better, believe it or not), a character creator that I've spent hours in, and this is just the beginning! I am so excited to see what the future brings for this game, it has an insane amount of potential and I just know it will grow into something glorious. Thank you developers, for all that you do. We appreciate you, and I will be playing this game for many years to come.
Everything
I love this game as compared to sims 4 I love them both but this one is really great! way easier building and clutter with more updates this is the new best building game.
Even in early access, Paralives is a unique game with plenty of loveable features, a gorgeous art style, and personality in every object. I can't wait to see the storyline of this game develop over time and am enjoying every minute of it. Plenty of fun gameplay options in the meantime, along with character backstories to shape the experience.
For such a new game, it's very accessible and more progressive than other sandbox style games. The storybook style is so cute and I love the customization. You don't have to worry about buying new beds because you can just stretch the one you have. I'm having so much fun!
It is still early access so take everything I saw with a grain of salt, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. I was originally excited for Inzoi last year, before finding out that it was simply AI slop. Now, hating EA as I do, where does that leave us? Paralives! I was a bit sceptical going into this, but I have to say I am thoroughly impressed. Yes, it's rough around the edges. It could be optimised better, and there are features that aren't in it *yet*. But everything that is in it, it does better than the Sims does. Conversations feel more interactive, and I love the job searching method. I like that certain skills (such as instruments) fall under an umbrella skill (so playing piano levels both piano and the music skill). The art style is completely unique and fun to Paralives, allowing it to stand out. I also feel as though, even if it isn't perfect, the game offers more body customisation- especially for those of us who are fuller figured. Also, we can *finally* adjust the height of characters we make. My only gripes right now are that it can be a bit buggy at times (I have had to use the unstuck command many times), and that it could also use some better optimisation. Personally, I have hardly touched build mode. However, the parts I have touched have been a little confusing (like I was trying to turn my basement into a furnished area and like my floors started glitching out). Lastly, I do wish there was a way to either extend a lifespan, or to make it so we could manually choose when we're ready for our character to age.
Such a fun game can't wait to see what the future holds!!!
It's only in early access but there is so much to this game! I love the graphics, the cozy style of the game and the open world. Can't wait for all the updates to come.
i love everything about it! Literally sims could NEVER! (still love them, but i dont feel they are even trying anymore)
