I have played all three of the Panmorphia games and find them beautiful visually and aurally. The design of the puzzles are creative and I enjoyed completing them to progress in the story. I highly recommend this series!
Good retro styled point and click adventure game. Lots of puzzles, nice graphics and music. The ability to change into different animals adds a clever twist!
Best entry in the Panmorphia series. Much more fulsome world to explore. More intricate game mechanics. Suffers from the same, albeit tolerable, problems the first two Panmorphia games had: 1. Distinguishing between certain pairs of different colors (blue and white, purple and magenta, blue and green sometimes, and maybe red and orange for some folks) is hard, and going to be impossible for some people. There is no reason for this and Lydia needs to correct it in all her existing games, as well as in new ones. 2. Some puzzles are solved by using an inventory item in rather arbitrary ways. Nothing inherently wrong with that, but it means you'll say things like "maybe try the corn cob on the sewing machine" a lot, because sometimes that will solve a puzzle. 3. Navigation tools are unnecessarily cumbersome. For example, if your inventory is open and you want to return to your previous location, you have to close your inventory because it covers the "go back" button. A right-click on the mouse should move you back. Or, put the button and the inventory in different parts of the screen. (The inventory also tends to close itself just when you need more than one item. Further, sometimes the "go back" button becomes the "close this scene" red X in a totally different part of the screen where, at least, it is never covered by the inventory.) Now, these really are tolerable problems. If you liked the first Panmorphia, you'll like this one. But... three games into the series, Lydia really ought to be correcting these issues. Will certainly play the next one, whether she does or not. But we hope she will. This series deserves a big fan base, and it's not going to reach its full potential so long as the quirks listed here are still a part of it.
Panmorphia games are a guilty pleasure of mine. I've played the previous 2 on an iPad Pro. They're not very unique in terms of gameplay. And their budget is clearly very small. Yet it's fun playing Awakened and finishing it in one sitting. The game has one clear issue where you're asked to use items in weird ways sometimes (using a feather to tickle tree leaves? Really?) but it has a very good hint system where you're never stuck if you make use of it. This is probably the reason why it took me 2.4 hours to complete. You can also skip puzzles, I used this once near the end (clam shells). I think the game only has one music but somehow it doesn't get old. It's timeless. It feels like you're in heaven coupled with the vibrant art of the areas you're in. Overall, I enjoyed using my abilities of transforming into 3 animals. And I'm always up for more (Atlantis, let's go!). You get what you pay for. So don't expect much. No more than 5 euros feels right. And the achievements are just completing the game basically. So it's very relaxing getting all of them too.
As with the other games in the series, Awakened has nice locales to explore and puzzles to solve. They don’t follow moon logic puzzles, but are inventory and logic based puzzles that make sense with clues and a hint system if you get lost. If clue/inventory based puzzles are your thing take a look at this one.
