"Pamina VS Slimes" is a badly down top down wave survival shooter where you take on the role of a pixelcrap anime girl and shoot waves of "slimes". There's not much else to say about this, it's a shallow and pointless gaming experience without any real value as a serious PC game. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. This wasn't designed for typical widescreen monitors, it's locked to a bizarre 1:1 aspect ratio. [i]Nobody makes displays of this aspect ratio, it hasn't been done since the 1950s!!![/i]. What was the developer smoking?? It won't look right on modern PCs as a result of this bizarre decision to publish a PC game that doesn't conform to the standard display form factors. On pricing, this is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 13 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. It's important to note that, despite this being such a low quality product, there's a number of positive reviews that all appeared immediately after the game launched, from suspiciously inactive Steam accounts that have reviewed almost no other games apart from this. Take the review score of this game with a grain of salt. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. There's no financial cost up-front, but you'd still be spending your time and a little hard drive space on a product that's far from the best. There's thousands of better alternatives on Steam.
