This is a super janky, yet adorable, little idle/clicker Tamagotchi. That's it edit: Terrible translation and complete and utter vagueness as to how to evolve creatures. I'm leaving this one behind uncompleted. But still, it was cute while it lasted and was pennies
cool little clicker game that took 55 hours to complete. struggling from some translation weirdness. well worth the money.
It is a very leisurely creature collection and placement game. 是一款很悠閒的生物收集放置類遊戲
8/10
If you're into idle and clicker games, this is maybe for you, since it's pretty much your regular clicker/idle games, here with creatures. Expect from that it does nothing special, but consindering, that it costs like 30cent on discount and has no micro transactions etc., it's wort a try if you like the gerne. [b]6/10
While I have enjoyed the pixel creatures of this game, I'm going to have to give this little idler a hard pass for those of you who love idler games like myself. Yes, it's cheap (.99) but there's not exactly much to do here in terms of the game part. I thought this was going to be like a Pokemon type idler where you have to do things to catch the creatures ect but it's not. All you do is buy tons of land and buildings (which honestly is so random and makes NO sense) to collect coins your Pals shoot out. You have to keep buying land and buildings for more money and coins TO keep buying more land and buildings. You get food to feed your Pals to level them up or have to buy food as well to do so. There's no evolution- once your Pal is max level, you have to buy the evolution one to unlock it. IMHO none of the actual game play makes much sense with what they wanted this game to be- a creature collector idler which throws me off every time I run it (at least going to 100% it xD). Also the translations aren't the best and there are some action words that aren't even translated. The biggest issue I have with this is that there is NO tutorial or guides of any kind- I wouldn't of figured out game play had it not been for other people's discussions on Steam. All in all, I'd skip this idler.
This is honestly a very iffy "would recommend" because I'd only say you'll enjoy it if you like simple idle games with not much going on. There isn't a lot to say because it's such a simple game, but I'll say what I can. There are some translation issues and trouble understanding some parts of the game because it's machine translated. I don't blame the dev for this, translation is a lot of work! I'm lucky there are a few other English speakers who have posted about these issues and helped me understand things. If that sort of thing really bothers you, though, this isn't the game for you. I'll give critique first. One criticism I have is that for the special BGM achievements, it would have been nice if the PA used for the achievement icons were some of the PA that can trigger the special BGM as a little hint. I'm only missing one of these achievements and combing through every PA to try and find the right one is obviously tedious (but also not required at all, I'm just a perfectionist and want all the achievements). It's also annoying that you can't get the BGM achievements if you have the game music turned off within the game's options itself. I understand the decision since you're supposed to hear the special music, but it would be nice if it was mentioned somewhere in the Achievement descriptions that you have to have the music on to get them, especially because the music is quite loud and repetitive, making you want to turn it off especially if you're trying to multitask with this game in the background. Turning off the music in the game options also doesn't turn off the Title Screen/Main Menu music for some reason, so if you're listening to your own music or something else on high volume and go to change PA, you get blasted by Palladise Island's music until you choose another PA and get out of that menu again. Can't tell you how many times I jumpscared myself before realizing I could use volume mixer to fully mute the game (while keeping the game music on in its options to get those special BGM achievements!) Another criticism that's also been discussed by others is that you can't resize the window at all, and it's extremely small. I don't mind most of the time because I'm doing other things with Palladise Island in the background, but when I do want to do something like use items or change PAs, or just appreciate the creature designs, it's a downside. Let's end on a nicer note though, because there are some good points! The creature designs, for one. Some are cute, some are cool, some are funny. It's a nice mix. They all have two basic animations when clicked which give them some more personality. I also think the overall concept is fun, even if it's very simple. I found it satisfying unlocking and raising all the creatures. According to the most recent update post for the game, the dev has made a lot of "unpopular games." While it's nice to see them recognize the criticisms, I do hope they know there are some good points too, and they don't get discouraged from trying to make better games. That's the main reason I'm writing this review, really.
