Palia

Palia is one of those games that I didn't expect to get so attached to. It's cozy, but there's actually a surprising amount of depth once you start getting into all the different activities. I really like how the game lets you play at your own pace. You can farm, fish, hunt, catch bugs, cook, decorate your house, explore, complete quests, collect things or just run around doing absolutely nothing productive. The world is beautiful and the progression feels very satisfying without constantly pushing you to rush through it. I also really enjoy the social aspect and the feeling that you're actually building a little life in the world rather than just completing a checklist of quests. It's not perfect, and there are definitely systems that could be improved, but the overall atmosphere and freedom make it incredibly easy to sink hours into. Basically: I came for the cozy farming and stayed because apparently I now have a house, 700 things to collect and several fictional people I care about. <3
