This game definitley ain't for everyone but hey, do you want a creepy, experimental, confusing game where ♥♥♥♥ is hard to figure out, if yes the buy this!
The fancy store description is off-putting as it is wrong: "PAGAN: Autogeny is an exercise in aesthetic maximalism — In other words, it's pretty big, at least by normal altGame standards." --- Come on, "aesthetic maximalism" and "it's pretty big" shouldn't be in your description if you run into invisible walls in the first few minutes.
a game that doesn't hold your hand and in fact may try to thwart you. the opposite of a AAA game imo. i loved it so much.
Insanely fond memories of this world; one of the best to capture the "dead game world" feeling and the specific ambient dread of exploring games space as a metatextual experience.
This game does a really good job at creating the feeling that I'm visiting a place that I'm not supposed to be in. The atmosphere is really well done here, and it always feels like something is off or that there could be anything jumping at you at any second. The whole mystery aspect of trying to figure out what I was supposed to do to progress was pretty interesting too, overall an enjoyable experience.
This is one of my favorite games ever. Short, and tremendously atmospheric, and saturated with a queerness you can't quite your finger on.
i liked it, but i didnt like it as much on a second playthrough
