~7.3 hours to achieve 100% completion
PAC-MAN™ and the Ghostly Adventures is surprisingly good!
It feels bizarre to review a game that is no-longer for sale (delisted due to expired licensing). However, I was pleasantly surprised with this game, and figured it was worth sharing my thoughts for those who are somehow able to access it.
Thoughts?
PAC-MAN™ and the Ghostly Adventures is a simple 3D Platformer, where you explore linear levels, utilise power-ups, and...chomp ghosts! The story is pretty standard, and the final boss is laughably anti-climatic, but I enjoyed my time with this game! It's nowhere near as engaging as something like Super Mario Odyssey or A Hat in Time, but you have to keep-in-mind the target demographic when comparing this game to others. Just because a game doesn't compete with the titans, doesn't mean it has nothing of value. This game achieves its goal of being a simple 3D Platformer with a younger audience in mind, while still being enjoyable to older players. After playing the first level or so, I wasn't expecting anything fancy, but this game definitely becomes more interesting as it goes on. I'd credit that to the drip-feeding of new power-ups, the way the levels incorporate them, and the verticality in the level design.
Origin?
This game is particularly interesting for the fact that it's based off of 2013's TV show under the same name. The show is a re-boot of the PAC-MAN series, created in partnership with Disney. It's a by-gone era, and I think the internet's disdain for PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures is honestly very cringe and lame [strike](erm he has teeth, next they'll make his arms blue)[/strike], because the show itself is harmless. It's highly unlikely that Ghostly Adventures was intended to replace the original iconic PAC-MAN design permanently, but rather co-exist next to it, sort of as a stepping-stone for younger audiences. (Similar to how Sonic Boom and its redesigns were never meant to replace the actual mainline Sonic designs).
Criticism?
-It's delisted. I know the license is never going to be renewed thanks to this era of PAC-MAN being over, but the game is worth playing if you're looking for a time-kill. -It's capped to 30fps. Easy to overlook for me, but may be a deal-breaker for some. -Its sequel never came to PC; I'm gonna guess it has something to do with people blindly hating the franchise. -Final boss was over before it started.
Conclusion?
It's a good game! Again, the game is pretty simple and isn't close to something like Super Mario Odyssey, but there's a good time to be had here if you have an afternoon to spare and enjoy PAC-MAN, no matter what form he takes on. Absolutely worth playing if you can borrow it through family-share, or find a copy through yar-har methods..!

Pac Man is good game.
Played it as a kid. Came back to it and. Game SUCKS! Platforming is good......that's it. Rest is repetitive and boring. Your not missing much. Also doesn't help this is Ghostly Adventures PAC-MAN Should have continued the PAC-MAN World Trilogy.
Just play the remakes of World and World 2.
