Game had tons of potential. They should have created a game they wanted to create and not allow the community of fake accounts to manipulate their decisions. Server down and game abandoned. Money grab for sure.
I love this genre of game (extremely slow paced MMORTS) and was excited to try it out. The lack of automation options, like queuing ship orders or setting up recurring cargo trips, rewards players who are online constantly doing boring micro-chores, such as stripping resources from uninhabited planets, or scouting planets within a system; which imo defeats the entire purpose of a slow-play game. The different playable races seem like a poor design decision, since you essentially have to live with whatever choice you make. Yes, you can voluntarily reset, or start over when you get destroyed, but that's lame. The "happiness" mechanic that organic races have to deal with is horrible, imo; another feature that rewards min/maxing by being online as much as possible. The soft cap for how many colonies a player can create, while making sense, unfortunately also encourages a type of min/maxing and "exploitation" of game mechanics, such as double populating planets, that I can only imagine a certain type of person would enjoy. Overall, my impression is that the gameplay "depth" present in this game seems due to unintended side effects of design choices. While the galaxy map is beautiful and inspiring in its size, the game itself is quite bland. I have experienced more excitement, roleplay, strategy, backstabbing, friendships, combat, trade, etc., from browser based games.

dead game
It's abandon. Server dead. can't lunch it
edit: it's done. it's gone. RIP Outscape. I do rate this game positively..but it's shutting down, April 2021, due to lack of outside funding
The devs abandon this game, even so it was great, everything takes forever to do in this game, very disappointing to the devs. was a just a money grab for them
I was thinking to play it again after a while and... WTF I can't even startup the game anymore! So unfortunately, it's permanently dead. :(
Left by devs, dead game.
