would def appeal to fans of the outlast style (ie no combat just running/ evading style) has some rough edges but enjoyable enough
I had a blast with this and may have soiled my pants Walrus Mutants Try To Rizz and Scare Me | Outlive | Indie Horror Game https://youtu.be/0jSHR3WAyhc
Hello there, my name is Dino (Personer on YT), and i have gameplay of this horror game on my YT channel. I liked it alot, i'm from Croatia and i'm supporting Balkan Horror games always, i hope that our scene is going to make big progress throughout years with gaming. For the game, my honest opinion is that's everything's alright, reminds me of Outlast, voiceover by Nolifer is cool, but i have only little things to say, what this game misses the most, and that's a little bit of context at the end of the game. There are also some glitches in the game (like picking up battery that i cannot bc of weird putting in the room), but who does not have glitches in games in general these days? Anyway, i recommend it for all of you that are reading this, thank you BosscoGames for creating it, keep it up, and i'm hoping to see you creators in the future updates of new games etc.!
I will edit my review once I replay this once more since I notice that it's received a few "Major Updates". But I will give my quick opinion on my first experience with this. Honestly it was fine for the most part. Nothing outstanding but a solid playthrough. I will mostly focus on the cons here. Cons: - Beginning was very forgettable. Monster was way too slow to catch up to me in that semi open area, which removed any horror. (Although it does become a lot better when you enter the building/facility and it honestly managed to get me a few times) - I remember the ending felt a bit weird, the game just kind of ended. Nothing too bad but it could've used more polishing imo - Keycards. Honestly this wasn't that big of a deal to me but I can imagine the vast majority of players being sick of having to find a keycard for almost every single door in the facility. Especially when sometimes the keycard was literally less than a 10 second walk away from the door that you need the keycard for. Why??? This does not prolong the time of the playthrough, it only annoys. I remember map layout being pretty decent, especially that facility/lab. Honestly the best part of the game in my opinion, the beginning and the ending were kinda meh, but that mid section was pretty fun to play (thankfully, since it's the longest segment of the game). Overall it's an okay game and if truly only 2 people made it then congratulations, you are on the right track, but keep improving! I am excited to see what the "major updates" bring to the table.
This is not a good game and needs a lot of fixing and polishing. Spoilers ahead. Narration and lore is barely not existing besides first information screen. Puzzles are primitive, player end up with pressing buttons or using valves, because so. Rest of puzzles are finding a key to open the door. AI is glitchy put into condensed labyrinths where level design makes no sense. Locations are to much condensed and don't look like anything close to what they suppose to look. Backtracking and invisible barriers. Opposite order of finding the problem and solution (you turn of 3 valves to find out there was a fire and you would not pass through corridor, but you find this our after doing puzzles, on 'cutscene'). Some batteries are not possible to pick up. Story objects cannot be picked up before they are activated in progress (lab cards and camera for example). Nope.
