This game is very reminiscent of Outlast. I enjoyed it a ton! It does a great job at keeping things tense and creepy. It's dark enough to make you actually use the Night Vision (Unless you turn your brightness up). Theres a ton of different things. I liked how there were some different creatures, so I'm not just being chased by the same enemy throughout the whole game. There are a few different issues I had with the game, some pathing issues with the enemies, some issues with finding things such as keys, and issues with where to go at times, I think I got lost about 3 times during this, once with the valves, again with the generators, and then again with a key that was needing to open a door. Though I'd say it's worth the purchase.

For a small development team this game is impressive. It starts out slow, but the jump scares become more intense and more frequent as you progress. The puzzles are fun to figure out, there are hidden doors you occasionally have to interact with, and monsters corner you and won't let you go. I finished it in 3 hours of play and I thought the ending could have done with a bit of story, ie...whose reason you are there is to expose the chemical disposal facility so it would have been fun to see a bit more back story. However, even with that in mind, I still give this game a 10/10 because it's really creepy and hard at times, but in a good way.
I have mixed feelings about Outlive. For a team that consists of just two people, i can't be too harsh. I was hoping for a solid horror game with violence, tension and monsters, and instead I got a moderately tense series of rooms with keys and valves and switches. The first time i played it i just got annoyed and gave up after 30 minutes. Second time i gave it a good chance, and managed to eventually finish it. After the gas room and valve locating parts of the game are over it gets way more enjoyable. It's well designed, not too confusing. But that gas room right at the start, irritating. There are 2 enemies in the game. One is a creature that looks like a mutant tree, and the other is an angry man wearing a gas mask. I liked the random jump scares and eerie sequences where you suddenly find you're being stared at by something. The speed that the character moves from left to right can be adjusted in the menu thankfully, but this will make picking up Anything in the game an absolute chore. The objects are So Tiny and require pinpoint precision to pick up. The blood splattered walls and floors look great. I encountered no glitches or errors (apart from 2 batteries that couldn't be picked up, and i had more than enough already). And the latter half of the game is pretty solid and creates a decent amount of tension. Hearing the lift go 'Ping!' and realising that you ain't safe, arrgh! By the end of the game I had collected 24 batteries and used maybe 6. Cool little effort, Outlive is alright
This is a really fun horror game. It's similar to Outlast in a lot of ways so if you liked Outlast you will also like this game (probably). There are some differences though. Outlive has more puzzles where you have to search for an item, mostly keys, key cards and generators. The jumpscares in this game are much better than in most other horror games I've played, they are in places that you wouldn't expect a jumpscare to be. Some of them got me good! The enemy variety could be better, (spoiler ->) they are basically the exact same one reskinned, which at times may feel cheap. There is one enemy that you only see in cutscenes that would fit into the gameplay part of the game really well, but for some reason it is never used outside of cutscenes, I'm talking about the crawling monster. (end of the spoiler) There is one thing that I didn't really like and that is the way loading screens are done. It takes you out of the experience by making you look at a static art piece for the whole loading. That coulad have been done differently, a nice transition would have worked better. I would also like to mention the atmosphere, which is great. It builds up well, the sounds are nice and 3D and the lighting is really well done. Though out placement of the lighting strips really enhances the experience. Overall a really well made horror game that is worth the cost. If you like horror games, definitely give this one a chance, it's very enjoyable!
