It's sad. Personally, I really liked Outlier. I felt like the combat in the game was unique in VR and I had so much fun with it. I felt like a demigod tossing around rocks while shooting bad guys and tossing their bodies at their friends. All the while, I was hopping around and floating like a winged creature with prowess. It was intense for me. I'm so super sad they won't be continuing the game and hopefully they respond to my request for a refund. Perhaps we will see the same or a similar combat system in the future if they'd be so inclined to bring it to a more story focused game. Think... Titanfall 2's TIME BENDING stage or Raven Software's AMAZING Singularity but with OUTLIER'S powers. That WOULD BE INCREDILBE! If you need a voice actor Joy Way, I'd be willing to assist for the price of FREE and my voice is truly amazing. You'd have to hear it to believe it, but it's true!
i love this game even tho i have only played it for about 4 hours. and saddly its going to be taken down, i trully hope one day they come back to it so i will keep it still and i will play it still its trully somthing that i can look at and enjoy alot and peacks my interes in vr gaming alot. if anyone like dungeon like games with a progression system come and try this about before they finaly take it down bet you'll probably like it other than the small issue of health perk being reset and points other than that tho its fun as is

This feels like the developers other game stride, but with more bugs and less content. This is not great given the already low amount of content in stride. That said it does have some interesting concepts like the "magic stones" and dashing, though neither felt polished. In addition the games tutorial was quite buggy, and the game has settings that cannot be accessed but still appear on the menu. Overall because this is still labeled early access, it could still get its issues ironed out but it seems that that may take quite some time, given the type of issues the game has. As such, i don't feel i can recommend this game until the developers refine the game more, and add more to make it feel like its own product instead of a re skin of their other game. Edit: As of may 20th the devs have stated that they are pulling support for the game as it will be taken off of the store, and will no longer receive updates. as such I would not recommend buying the game (if it's still possible) as it has been abandoned by the devs. This is a worrying sign as the devs currently have THREE other games in Early Access. They also have yet to fully release a game out of Early Access (As far as I am aware).
Game good but make lightning strike like with the power of zeus, it feels weak.
Expect LOTS of bugs. And expect none of them to get finished. This game is getting abandoned. And very soon removed from the store. Not too surprising, but still sucks. What doesn't suck are the good things this game has. Solid art direction, decent mix of combat and platforming, and a solid variety of weapons and abilities that take advantage of VR. Shame what's there is all we'll ever get.
The game is really addictive. a very cool addition for the roguelight family vr. Movement and dashing are the best in VR. Also very pleased with unusual weapons and magic. I would especially like to highlight the thrust and the bow. The game still needs polishing, but it's already worth the money. 8/10
There is a slight issue i have with this game. There is no option to change graphic settings or audio, The spectator cam is not 60 fps like most games, The game could use some optimisations to run smoother & There is no way to exit the game natively you have to quit via steam overlay. Overall the game itself has really good potential to become a top tier roughlite vr game.
You can really pull off some crazy things once you start to get into the swing of things. You can really feel powerful and pull off some really crazy stunts once you start mastering things!
Not a great experience for me booting up the game. I started the tutorial, went down to the planet. The voice said something about some glowing shapes on the ground looking hostile, and I couldn't figure out what to do from there. Went to the main menu, and was told to upgrade my health. Clicked that icon a few times on the menu, and had -75 of whatever the currency is. Walked to the door, and was told I needed to upgrade my health to continue. There was no confirm or reset button on the menu. Now I have to figure out how to delete my save file and start this from scratch. Once I deleted the save file, the game had enemies and worked properly. It was actually a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the run and gun play style it promotes.
kinda fun
