This game looked good and I think I would like it. I was bit dissapointed because there was no story. Game reminded me of Asteroids and was simple so i did still like it. It would have been better with story but not so bad that I would give thumb down.
This game is a high definition version of the old game Asteroids. While easy to figure out after muddling around in the hangar for a while the game lacks anything resembling a decent tutorial and the cursor/controls are not very responsive/seem to be partially broken. Doesn't really have much in the way of BGM and the pew pew just gets old fast. I picked this game up in a bundle for $4, I definitely would not recommend buying this game for it's store price.
As others have said, this is not a very extensive game. General premise is that you're trying to get your freedom back by mining asteroids for a corporation. And, as it were, that's the extent of the story. Actual gameplay is pretty okay. Controlling the ship can be a bit annoying at first as you can essentially only thrust forward, so you have to spin yourself 180 degrees and thrust to stop yourself. As others have said, tool upgrades and ship upgrades are pretty pointless beyong a certain level. If you set your mind to it, you could finish this game in under two hours. Just hammer through it and you might get a bit of enjoyment out of it. Pun intended.
have above minimum requirements but have terrible fps ... D: other then that the game looks awesome :D
So, I just played through the entire game in one sitting, hoping that something would make it worthwhile. It did not. It's a very pretty game. That's about all that can be said for it. There is no story to speak of, and honestly no gameplay to speak of either. I've seen more elaborate game design from first year programming students. You shoot asteroids until they blow up. That's it. Shoot enough asteroids and you can move to another area to shoot asteroids that look different, and get better ways to shoot asteroids. While you technically can die if you get hit enough by asteroids and debris, there is no consequences. You respawn immediately in the same place, you lose no resources or progress. Half the times I died I barely noticed. I suspect there were times I didn't notice at all. If it were an early access game, I'd say it's a pretty start but needs a lot of content added. Since this is apparently final release, it's just disappointing. Like another review said, this is a tech demo, not a game. TL:DR, not worth the time or the money.
Please stay well away from this game, I thought that it was because I was running FRAPS that the frame rate was at 6... but no, it's still horrible and I found it utterly unplayable.
The game is pretty, for sure, but the gameplay is boring. You shoot asteroids. That's it.
I would write a review on this game, if it won't stop working the minute I want to create a new profile.
can't really play it as the UI doesn't work! the cursor is way off any buttons.
10 minutes long. Game play is move sideways and hold down fire. Story is basic. And apparently not the game I got in some bundle years ago. Visuals are the best part of the whole game. So if you have seen the screenshots, you don't need to play the game. Has something to do with an ARG but I've no interest in going down that rabbit hole.
