Otaku's Fantasy 2

This is a neutral review as I will neither give a positive nor negative review for this game to be consistent with my group's curator list entry for the following reasons below. I am also writing this as a review to describe more about the game and as a way to reach the developer as a series of suggestions to improve on other games released in future. First of all, this game is an adult eroge with NSFW content in text and dialogue. With the uncensor patch, it changes the game to its actual non-censored version Monmusu Conquered World (もんむすに征服された世界) that contain multiple heavy NSFW sprites and CGs. For those who don't mind adult games, read on. This Japanese role-playing game(JRPG) by Dieselmine and SakuraGame as an RPG Maker-based game with visual novel elements features a male adventurer Rick who is fleeing and trying to survive in a medieval fantasy world that is being overrun by monster girls of all types hunting for any remaining human survivors to kill and assault to death. After a sexual assault by a monster girl that would have killed Rick, he suddenly found himself resurrected with a mysterious sword that has appeared in his hands, Rick was able to defeat and chase away the monster girl. As Rick travels across the ruined and desolate countryside that is infested with monster girls, Rick would find himself being sexually assaulted to death by a different unique monster girl boss, resurrecting and beating off his attackers each time while learning about the origins of his unusual magical powers and the monster girl invasion. [u]Otaku's Fantasy 2[/u] I will begin with my review of Otaku's Fantasy 2 first since I played a short segment of it before getting the uncensor patch to convert the game to Monmusu Conquered World which will be covered further below. I decided to download and install the uncensor patch after the first few boss encounters and reverse assaults as the new censoring in this game make the game show complete black screens or a non-matching background scene and a monster girl sprite that doesn't even exist in that scene. Why not apply the funny SakuraGame rabbit, the white mist that is in earlier Dieselmine games or just edit the NSFW parts totally out of this game? At the stealth-based action segments where the player has to maneuver Rick past the hordes of different generic monster girls while opening chests and glittering items on the ground and uncover journals which tell about the monster girl invasion, this part will not provide a decent challenge and hold the player's attention for long due to laughable AI pathfinding and a temporary invisible mode that Rick can enter after being caught by a monster girl and then escaping from the monster girl's assault. There are also only black screens and no CGs to collect in this game version if Rick is caught by any monster girl. [u]Monmusu Conquered World[/u] https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1421932342 The title screen looks more attractive with artwork sprites of several monster girl bosses. There are 25 CGs of monster girl bosses that the player can collect while playing through the game and 48 CGs with generic monster girls that can be obtained by allowing a generic monster girl to catch and assault Rick during the stealth-based action segment. The artwork in the CGs are generally attractive although every CG is NSFW which make almost all the CG artwork designed in this game go to waste in the censored Steam version. Do consider having more non-NSFW CGs for other games released in future. For those who don't mind heavy NSFW content involving reverse sexual assault scenes, it is recommended to play this uncensored version of the game to be able to unlock any CG in this game. [u]Overall impressions[/u] I decided to write this review mainly due to feedback and requests from my anime fangroup's members who are also my friends in Steam. The plot of this game is written as a parody to the usual RPG fare where the protagonist levels up by being sexually assaulted to death and then being resurrected by a different monster girl boss each time instead of grinding through fighting and defeating monsters and enemies. However, that also makes the game look like a mindless porn game where the character can only go in one direction to advance through the game without any choices at all to be made with no open-world setting or side-quests and all lead to the same result that is repeated many times all the way to the ending. The scriptwriter has focused too much of the text and dialogue unnecessarily on the reverse sexual assault scenes instead of bringing out the personality of each different character. The result is that almost every monster girl boss looks like a bland cookie-cutter version of another monster girl boss, all behaving haughtily and hungrily for the protagonist and the protagonist Rick was even more flat as a character than a few monster girl bosses by being a character that could only run away all the time and seek out certain monster girl bosses at most, but his role in the entire game has been to get assaulted to death repeatedly by different monster girl bosses with very little dialogue by him. This leads to a lot of wasted potential considering that every monster girl boss is voiced by a different voice actress. Yet there are also a few instances of funny situations here and there with nice background music and artwork which made me decide to write this review eventually. This game is recommended only when at discount or bundle offer for fans of Dieselmine and/or SakuraGame who might be interested in collecting their titles as a short RPGMaker-based game with nice artwork, voice acting, BGM with small amounts of adult humour here and there and doesn't mind the numerous errors in English version, heavy NSFW and controversial content or repetitive gameplay.
