Жаль, что игра не окончена. В духе Land of the dead и Day of the zombie.
Ran half way across a city starving to death just to see I needed a key while 7 fast zombies were munching on my backside

I mean, It's a good game. Reminds me a lot of dying light 1, But there's one issue that keeps bothering me during gameplay, It's the hunger bar. Literally the hunger bar decreases fast and sometime later you don't have any food in your inventory. I want the hunger bar just to decrease a little bit slower like 10% or so.
Редкостное Г ,даже в настройках невозможно ни чего выставить,расположение кнопок не совпадает с курсором. Крайне не рекомендую
Warning: Asset Flip! "Origin of Decay" is one of literally thousands of creatively bankrupt asset flips/kitbashes infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
This is something nobody has ever done before, making an asset flipped first person zombie FPS game. Sigh. It's easy to see why this was pulled from Steam... it's got all the same hallmarks as all the other asset flips on the platform. "Origin of Decay" is a basic asset flip, kitbashed out of a bunch of someone else's game assets all thrown in a blender. This is creatively bankrupt stuff, effectively plagiarism, and it's bad for everyone. While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Origin of Decay", and this kind of asset flipping never results in games that have quality or value for PC gamers. The creators gave up on this 7 years and 2 months ago. It is destined to remain unfinished. This junkware is just polluting Steam and making it difficult for gamers to fully finished, completed games. That's not good for gamers. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. This game is fairly dated at 8 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Let's talk about pricing and the actual value this has for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $11 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. A peak of 14 concurrent players (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. Because the game is removed from Steam (certainly a win for gamers), you can't add it to your library. Hopefully this review can at least help people understand why this failed, and why, if you do happen to have this dead game in your library before it was killed, it's not worth downloading.
Never updated unfinished title . Dont buy it , waste of money .
Seems the game has been removed from Steam now ? I played this recently though and overall its a fairly average, linear, zombie outbreak shooter, there is a survival aspect with needing to eat and loot but its very over shadowed and not majorly utilised to make this game anything more than just a hack, slash and shoot till you reach the end, what is there is passable but not great, it was free when I played but it still felt like it fell short, a good base though should the dev work on it some more (respect due as it is a solo dev). Difficulty ☐ Tell My Wife I L... ☐ Engage the gamer position ☐ A Chill Challenge ☑ Are we still on the tutorial? ☐ Easier than regretting the amount of hours I have on Dota The main difficulty is due to mechanics, there is no knockback on melee combat and you can be immediately grabbed when in melee range of the enemies, this is completely ignorable once you have a ranged weapon, there is a food mechanic and you will lose health if you dont keep your hungry up but this is also ignorable as you can complete the levels before it runs lower than the starting given food is used up, which is ideal because the general map is pretty scarce on food making exploring and loot kind of irrelevant beyond the required items Enjoyment ☐ Absolute euphoria ☐ Worth your time ☐ Its aight ☑ Beats day time TV ☐ Ayoo there's paint drying over there It was okay for the first map, you travel down a block of flats in dim lighting and it was quite fun and kept you on edge but then everything becomes more mundane and challengeless, if you wanted to just waste an hour and shoot zombies then itd do the job. Quality ☐ Even better than oddly satisfying hydraulic press videos at 2am ☐ B-E-A-Utiful ☐ No complaints ☑ Janky but manageable ☐ GET THE BUG SPRAYYYYYYY It has some annoyances, as mentioned above melee is annoying, the map is scarce but also there are a couple crate puzzles these are clunky and ended up feeling more frustrating than enjoyable, not being able to rotate the crate when holding doesnt aid puzzles like this, also the hitboxes on the vehicles especially are larger than the visual which can be a pain when trying to do some sniper shots, when using items/checking inventory the game still runs and you can be attacked, and there is also no bar to indicated breath when underwater, all this together led to a slow burn of frustration although being an easy game I still felt these issues had significant impact. All in all I wouldnt recommend in its current state, and it seems to have been removed anyway, there is one boss and even that I accidentally glitched into a corner and just stood there shooting it until it was done, there isnt much challenge and the fun dries up quick, Il give credit to the fact this is a solo dev but it just needs some tweaking to fix whats there before working on expanding.
