First of all i want to say BUY THIS GAME, it is 100% worth the 10-ish dollars and should be made more now onto the actual review. When i heard this game was good. I just thought that it was good in a ``meta puzzle game`` way but the STORY..??? It`s amazing. The way Niko develops and the way the world changes is so insanely cool and the puzzles are SO intresting while also being difficult at times. Also spoilers but... The solstice ending where it just sitts on that screen of the house is just SO GOOD and you can even replay it without taking away Niko`s Freedom which is awesome.
This incredible game made me actually care for a fictional character enough to not want to replay the game to let them live their life 10/10 like undertale but stirs more emotion

Eh, if all you’re after is an interesting story then it’s okay, but besides that it doesn’t really offer much. It has a few interesting mechanics, like the game breaking the fourth wall, messing with your wallpaper, and making you search around your computer for files, but the actual gameplay is basically just walking around a 2D top‑down world, talking to random NPCs, and trying to find items or triggers to move things forward. The world layout is often confusing and maze‑like, with no map, vague hints, and tons of objects and NPCs that don’t serve any real purpose beyond some light worldbuilding. I found myself getting bored a lot and had to force myself to keep going. It doesn't help that the game offers a fast travel option but then doesn’t let you use it half the time, and even that is just a list of area names you have to decipher. A simple map would’ve solved this instantly. The inventory system is another annoyance. You often have to select items individually or combine them, but instead of making those separate actions, the game forces it into a weird sequential system. So if you want to switch from one item to another, you have to attempt a failed combination first before you can select something else. It’s a small frustration, but it adds to the overall experience. That said, the story is decent, the writing is interesting, and the characters are engaging enough. I just feel like the game could’ve been way less of a chore. A few actual gameplay elements or a few simple features would’ve made the whole experience much more enjoyable.
Cool short (about 4-5 hours) lil RPGmaker story adventure game.
