It was fall 2018. A group of recruits from a private military organization took a basic combat training in a woodland near Witch Hills. A few days before the end of the training, the squad stopped being in touch. A searching group was sent to their landing place.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 26 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It seems like the game leaned more into atmosphere than pure horror, which can be a hit or miss depending on expectations. The addition of bosses, open areas, and more complex puzzles (especially that labyrinth!) sounds like a solid step up in gameplay depth. Performance improvements are always a plus, though that FPS drop on the second level is a bit odd—could be the size of the map or something else under the hood. Overall, sounds like a mixed experience but still a step forward from the previous game!

Not a bad game (unity Engine), just enjoyable and simple gameplay with exploring, finding stuff and shooting. The game menu offers all necessary graphic and keyboard/mouse settings. The mouse speed only works for me on "0.1" otherwise the mouse is not to control while playing the game. A pity, that the developer doesn't improve the game a little bit more (Chest problems at dead enemy bodies).
Old Evil, developed and published by UNICORE Games Studio, is a first-person indie horror experience that attempts to blend survival elements, environmental puzzles, and action combat within a dark supernatural setting. The story centers on Cedric Still, a soldier sent on a mission to investigate the disappearance of recruits during a military training exercise near a remote and ominous location known as Witch Hills. What begins as a routine search-and-rescue operation quickly spirals into a descent into a twisted, otherworldly realm filled with hostile entities and disturbing environments. The narrative premise draws from classic horror motifs—lost soldiers, cursed lands, and encroaching darkness—framing the journey as both a rescue mission and a struggle for survival. Gameplay in Old Evil is structured around exploration and progression through interconnected areas such as forests, swamps, abandoned structures, and graveyards. The environments are deliberately shadow-heavy, using darkness and limited visibility to create tension. Players must search for clues, keys, and interactive objects to unlock new areas, often solving environmental puzzles that require observation rather than complex logic. These puzzles break up the pacing and encourage methodical exploration, though they tend to remain relatively straightforward in design. Combat plays a significant role in the overall experience. Cedric has access to firearms and melee weapons, allowing players to confront enemies directly. Encounters range from humanoid threats to supernatural creatures, reinforcing the sense that the environment itself is hostile. However, combat mechanics are fairly simple, with limited enemy variety and predictable behavior patterns. Ammunition and resources are scattered throughout the environment, encouraging exploration but also reducing some of the tension associated with survival horror scarcity. The balance between action and horror leans more toward straightforward shooter mechanics than slow-burning psychological dread. Visually, Old Evil adopts a realistic but modest graphical style. The game attempts to create immersion through moody lighting and environmental detail, though overall production values reflect its indie origins. Textures and models are functional rather than intricate, and while some scenes effectively capture a gloomy atmosphere, others feel sparse or repetitive. Lighting is one of the stronger aspects, with dark corridors and mist-filled outdoor spaces contributing to a sense of isolation. However, the visual presentation does not consistently elevate the horror beyond standard genre expectations. Sound design contributes to the tension with ambient noises, environmental echoes, and occasional startling audio cues. Footsteps, distant growls, and sudden sound effects aim to create suspense, particularly during exploration segments. While effective at moments, the audio design can also feel minimal, relying on common horror tropes rather than unique atmospheric layering. Still, it supports the overall tone of unease that the game strives to maintain. The pacing of Old Evil alternates between slow exploration and bursts of combat. Some sections emphasize wandering through darkened landscapes while piecing together narrative fragments, while others push players into direct confrontations. This structure can create uneven momentum; moments of tension are sometimes undercut by repetitive navigation or combat that lacks variety. The story itself unfolds gradually, but it remains relatively linear, offering limited branching paths or alternate outcomes. Overall, Old Evil represents a modest entry in the indie horror genre. It combines familiar survival horror elements—dark environments, puzzle-solving, and combat encounters—into a compact experience that stays focused on its central premise. While it does not break new ground or offer deeply layered mechanics, it delivers a serviceable horror adventure for players who enjoy atmospheric exploration and light action within a supernatural setting. Those seeking highly polished visuals, complex storytelling, or innovative gameplay systems may find it limited, but for fans of smaller-scale horror titles, it provides a straightforward and moody journey into a cursed wilderness.
