About

Build a global oil empire in an engaging 2D clicker game. Start with simple oil extraction and gradually expand your infrastructure by constructing new buildings and managing their operations. Upgrade your facilities, optimize processes, and unlock new resources that become the foundation of your growing power. Every decision brings you one step closer to dominating the global market.

Progress, level up, and plan future runs. As you extract hundreds, thousands, and millions of liters of oil, you unlock new development stages, buildings, and Perk Points. By ending a run and returning to the lobby, you can spend these points to unlock permanent upgrade cards that strengthen your strategy. Each new run allows you to grow faster, earn more income, and build an even more powerful empire.

Produce, process, and trade goods in many different ways. The oil you extract can be sold at your own gas stations, transported by train to other continents, or shipped to global markets via container ships. As you progress, you will unlock gold mining, which can be smelted into bars used for advanced upgrades or sold for quick cash. Develop factories, manufacture ammunition, and prepare to defend your empire in the endgame.

Manage your business and political influence. Invest in a bank, issue loans, and choose between high interest rates for maximum profit or lower rates to gain public support. Use an airship to drop cash on cities, increasing your reputation and influence. Knowledge gained in the Library unlocks new possibilities: it boosts worker efficiency at oil derricks, increases factory output, or can be exchanged for other goods.

I was REALLY hoping this game would be the next Oiligarchy, a 2008 flash game that would be amazing as an idle or even a nodebuster-like clone. Maybe it would just be a better Turmoil, but it falls far short of that game too. Unfortunately, this game ain't it, I'm actually surprised this isn't early access for a few reasons: - game starts in borderless windowed mode, no settings to change this, had to use lossless scaling to put it in fullscreen (using an ultrawide screen, has black bars on the sides, no biggie) - tutorial has 5 pages, only the first page has text, the next 4 pages just say 'WIP' - spelling mistakes absolutely everywhere - is set in the American West, guy uses litres as a unit of measurement, all numbers use periods (.) instead of commas (,) for the thousand separator (e.g. 1.000.000 is a million instead of 1,000,000) - camera is bound to keyboard for no reason, could easily bind it to right click and then you wouldn't need the keyboard at all. It's a clicker/idler ffs. Can't zoom out either - buildings don't change as you upgrade them more - clicker gameplay is super slow, even with an autoclicker you'll be waiting a good while for any appreciable upgrades and i've only got 20 minutes of gameplay - some upgrades look like they can be bought (e.g. the upgrade for the library) but can't be bought until another building is unlocked, but the button just doesn't work instead of being grayed out or saying 'not available yet', which gave me the initial impression the game was bugged until 10 minutes later when I unlocked the building - the prestige mechanic can be cheesed extremely easily, just hit the first milestone (which takes 1 minute) then prestige immediately for +1 perk points. Each milestone takes waaaaaay longer than the last, so this is somehow the most efficient method of getting persistent upgrades Basically, this game on its own merits just doesn't hold up, but I was really really really hoping it would be a game like Oiligarchy because of the similar 2D design. This game doesn't even have the fun oil drilling mechanic of either of those games, which is just such a huge miss. Wouldn't recommend this game, it could be SO MUCH MORE.
I’ve already seen several reviews mentioning the exact same issues I’m experiencing, which clearly shows that these problems haven’t been fixed yet. That’s obviously a big negative, especially for a game that people have to pay for. One of the biggest issues is the save system. You can only save in the main menu or the prestige menu, which makes no sense. There’s no proper pause feature either, so if you go AFK for even a short time, you risk getting attacked and losing progress. I also encountered the “blue water” bug for the first time, and I was completely stuck. Even pressing the spacebar to return to the center didn’t work. I ended up having to force a prestige reset, even though I had already maxed everything out — which is extremely frustrating. On top of that, the settings are poorly designed. Some of them don’t make sense, and others don’t even work properly. If these issues get fixed and the game becomes more playable, I’m willing to update my review. But in its current state, it’s hard to recommend. Best regards.
the game nice for what it is but... you have to save the game manualy each presitge you do.... witch sucks i have been stuck on the water part of the map 3 times and i had to force a prestige while i had all upgrades already so i lost like 1-2 hours of gameplay with it.... if they dont fix this i wont recomend this game
Finally, a new game like Idle Tower clicker (30h+ at work :D). Played actually only 30mins after release (and a little bit at demo) and i like it. The interface is simple and functional, although it could use some improvvements for clarity. The graphics are modest but fit the style of the game well. Performance is stable and the mechanics are easy to understand even for players who are not experts in strategy games. Overall, it’s a solid title for fans of management and tycoon-style games (like Idle Tower for example). I hope the developers continue improving the game with updates and they will add some more sound tracks. 8,5/10
The other reviews ignore them ... all banana eating apes 😋😎😍 For this price the game is good, makes fun ... dont listen to the monkeys 🐵
It has taught me that the most important part of discovering oil isn't the profit, it's the friends (and strategic alliances) we force people to make along the way. Like the U.S.A play book.... See oil. Identify 'instability' in the region. Steal the oil. Highly recommended for anyone who thinks 'Environmental Impact Study' is just a fancy way of saying 'Where do we put the pipes?'
Oil Empire is seriously a super fun game 😄 At first, I started it "for a while" to see what it was all about, but I ended up playing it for several hours straight. The whole process of building your oil empire is incredibly addictive – you start small, and then suddenly you're trying to figure out where to drill next and how to best manage your money. The best part is that the game is simple to pick up, yet still rewarding. You don't need to be a strategy expert to have fun, but if you want, you can experiment and optimize everything for maximum profit. The chill atmosphere is also great – you can play it casually, without stress, and it's still addictive as hell. The perfect game to unwind and say "just one more turn"... and suddenly it's 2 a.m. 😂 If you like this kind of economic game, it's really worth checking out 👍
The save system is broken since March and no sight of the developer whatsoever. YOU CANNOT SAVE YOUR PROGRESS. So, stay away from this until they fix it.
The demo worked pretty well. The full release doesn't. Don't buy this until there is an update/patch. The developer does not seem active, as there has been no update for three weeks. Too bad.
