Oik 5

Oik 5 feels like a huge step up compared to the previous chapter. The levels are truly challenging, and for me, that’s already a big plus. What I appreciated most, though, is that despite the difficulty, every level felt beatable with the right amount of effort, strategy, and patience. Unlike Oik 4, none of the levels felt like they were based on luck, which really brings the series back on track. That said, I also felt a drop in innovation. Oik 5 plays more like a 60-level expansion pack for the previous game rather than a fresh new entry. The levels are definitely different from each other, but I started to feel a sense of repetition, and that feeling of discovery present in the earlier games is starting to fade. In short: if you enjoyed the third and fourth chapters, you’ll find Oik 5 to be a solid, challenging, and well-designed experience, even if it lacks new ideas. But if you’re looking for something truly fresh, you might want to skip this one.
