The controls in this game are the worst controls I have ever been through in 33 years of gaming. The graphics and audio are good, though.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/zzWWSvu_PZg It's not often I buy a game and then instantly regret my purchase. However, the controls in this game are so terrible that I'm actually going to ask for a refund. If you follow my channel, you know that is something I very rarely do as I respect the hard-work & effort most devs put into their games, even if the end-product isn't always amazing. This game has a good premise. Off-road dirt biking should be something fun in VR, even if it's on the arcadey side. However, the controls here are absolute dog water. I am not even 100% sure how they work but I think you twist your wrists and then press right trigger to accelerate (I say maybe because it didn't always work). Braking does easily work with just a left trigger press. The problem is that this developer made another game called Offfroad VR. That game is almost identical to this one, except that game is made with an off-road vehicle and has different gears for the different slopes and it generally works well for the type of game it was going for. It just doesn't work with a motorbike. It feels like you're driving an out-of-control off road vehicle instead of a motorcycle. One with dysfunctional controls. It also doesn't look good. The sounds aren't good either. There are only 8 tracks as well. I know the game is budget-priced at only $7.99 USD. It's just not good enough to charge even that low amount of money. It's honestly not worth anything in its current state. If it was free, I'd give it a 5/10. OFFROAD MotorBike VR is a virtual reality off-road racing title that aims to place the player directly into the physical experience of riding a dirt bike across rugged, uneven terrain. Developed and published by İNİTİUM STUDİO, the game is clearly built around the idea of immersion first, using VR to convey scale, motion, and presence in ways that traditional racing games cannot. From the moment the player mounts the bike, the game attempts to replicate the sensation of controlling a powerful machine over unpredictable ground, emphasizing balance, momentum, and spatial awareness rather than pure arcade-style speed. The core gameplay revolves around navigating off-road tracks that feature dirt paths, hills, uneven slopes, and environmental obstacles. Instead of focusing on tight circuits or competitive racing structures, the game leans more toward experiential riding, encouraging players to manage throttle control, steering, and body positioning as they traverse natural landscapes. The VR perspective enhances this approach significantly, allowing players to look around freely, judge terrain depth, and anticipate changes in elevation in a way that feels physically engaging. Leaning into turns and reacting to bumps can feel genuinely thrilling when everything aligns, especially for players already comfortable with VR locomotion. Physics play a central role in shaping the experience, and this is where the game’s ambitions are most evident. The bike has a noticeable sense of weight, and terrain affects traction in ways that require careful handling. Mud, slopes, and uneven ground all influence how the motorcycle behaves, forcing players to adapt rather than simply hold down the accelerator. When functioning smoothly, these systems create moments where riding feels tactile and demanding, rewarding patience and controlled inputs. However, this same reliance on physics can also expose inconsistencies, with occasional awkward reactions from the bike that disrupt the sense of realism the game is striving for. Visually, OFFROAD MotorBike VR delivers environments designed to sell the feeling of open, outdoor spaces rather than high-detail realism. Tracks are set in broad landscapes that convey scale effectively in VR, and being able to look ahead at winding paths or down at the bike beneath you reinforces immersion. Motorcycle models and cockpit views are serviceable and readable, helping players stay oriented during movement. While the presentation does not reach the visual polish of larger VR racing titles, it succeeds in creating a functional and convincing off-road atmosphere that supports the core riding fantasy. Sound design contributes to immersion by emphasizing engine noise, environmental ambience, and the sense of movement through space. The roar of the motor and subtle changes in audio feedback as terrain shifts help reinforce the illusion of speed and weight. That said, the audio remains relatively straightforward, doing its job without standing out as particularly dynamic or nuanced. It complements the experience rather than defining it, which aligns with the game’s focus on physical sensation over cinematic flair. One of the most important considerations with a VR title like this is comfort and stability, and this is where the experience can feel uneven depending on hardware and tolerance. The intense sense of motion, combined with off-road physics, can be exhilarating for seasoned VR users but potentially disorienting for newcomers. Occasional technical roughness, such as inconsistent handling or minor performance hiccups, can break immersion and affect comfort, reminding players that the experience is still somewhat raw in execution. Overall, OFFROAD MotorBike VR is a game driven by a strong concept and genuine enthusiasm for immersive off-road riding. It offers moments of excitement and presence that showcase why VR can be such a powerful medium for simulation-style experiences. At the same time, its limited refinement and occasional technical inconsistencies prevent it from fully realizing its potential. For VR enthusiasts who enjoy experimental racing simulations and are willing to tolerate some rough edges, it can provide memorable moments of off-road immersion. For players seeking a highly polished or content-rich VR racing package, it may feel more like a promising foundation than a fully realized destination. Rating: 5/10
