Amicalement, Le pasteur .

Good game to waste your evening on 6 / 10 The story is quite interesting, but the narrative is overblown: I swear I can comprise most of it in mere sentences without loosing anything significant The art is of various quality: some CGs made me cry tears of blood, for instance The logic is solid: the link between choices and consequences is rather obvious I don't like wining though, and other elements of narrative. So, I skipped most of it. By the end my had truly got tired 0-0 Nevertheless, I haven't missed anything of importance in the process. So, I stand my point regarding the overblown narrative.
actually super cute game! love love<3
This was an enjoyable read! All three LI's were great but I ended up having a soft spot for
Lithiel and Kisha. However, Sol had the most fleshed out route in my opinion, as well as the most solid design.
Alto is especially cute, personality and design wise. It would have been nice if the cg's had the same quality as the sprites though.
This game was something else. I waited to post this review until after I had viewed all the game's content, and made sure I unlocked every achievement. It's the reason I have 8.6 hours on my account. Now then, to start: I have always loved otome games and visual novels, and I believe this game intertwines the two seamlessly, creating a boundless story of danger, surprises, mild violence, and chaos. It really is a masterfully crafted game, I just only wish there was more content. Alto sounds a lot like me. Not only is she a young adult, but she was very tomboyish as a kid, and got in fights a lot. She was more often seen as a boy than a girl, which happened a lot to me when I was young too. She
doesn't realize she's being hit on in Al'Sharah in Kisha's route
, and is overall just very clumsy. I wish some of these didn't resonate so well with me, but they do. In addition, my username is often truncated to just "alto," which doesn't help matters. (It was a username I chose long ago, before I knew this game existed) Aside from that, out of all
5
routes, I would have to say I liked
Sol's
the best. Sure, the childhood friend trope is overused and honestly not that exciting, but certain game events, like
them playfully teasing each other and the water fight at the en
really made me remember my own childhood and the happy memories associated with it.
My 18th birthday party also ended in some sort of a water fight, so that scene especially brought out some emotions.
I can understand why this game may not be received positively by some individuals. The game's content can be lacking, the CG art style is definitely far from the best I've seen, and some of the routes are really easy to follow, and surprises can be seen from miles away. However, despite these mild problems, I found myself thoroughly invested in the game, waiting to see what happened next. I thank the developers for not only creating this masterpiece, but also making it free to play. I enjoyed finding a protagonist that I could easily imprint myself onto, and I would thoroughly recommend this game to anyone who comes across it. Updated to edit spoiler tags, as I have never used them before.
Of Frost and Flowers is a beautifully poetic otome game that blends romance with themes of healing, growth, and acceptance. The writing is heartfelt and emotional, with a tone that feels both gentle and bittersweet, making it easy to get immersed in the story. Each love interest has distinct depth and personality, and their relationships evolve naturally, with meaningful dialogue and emotional payoff. The art style is soft and elegant, perfectly matching the game’s atmospheric tone, while the soundtrack enhances the emotional weight of key scenes. The pacing is generally well done, though it can feel a bit slow at times, especially in the early chapters. Some choices also feel more cosmetic than impactful, which slightly limits replayability. Despite these minor flaws, Of Frost and Flowers is a touching, introspective experience that lingers in your heart even after the credits roll — a story about love blooming even in the coldest of places. ❄️🌸
Really good otome game. I kept forgetting it was a free game. Art style for the sprites was good as was the background music. Good attention to detail like with the sound effects. Definitely went above and beyond for a free VN
A rather disappointing story with ugly cgs. At least soundtrack is good.
