OCTOPATH TRAVELER™

A beautifully crafted ode to late-80's/early-90's JRPG's, like Enix's DRAGON QUEST/WARRIOR, Sega's PHANTASY STAR and Square's FINAL FANTASY series before it changed art styles. OCTOPATH TRAVELER hits all the great elements of those older games. Personally I would love to see some developer give this loving treatment to a modern Phantasy Star game like this. The unique town-skills that each character adds really helps bring the in-town-gameplay to new levels by giving you something new to explore in previous towns when you acquire one of the new characters. Revisiting the those towns will bring new surprises, upgrades and story. The writing is simple but deep. Game play is fun, battles are thrilling even grinding some times is a nice pass time to unwind with. A lot of replayability.
