Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Has some good ideas in between the endless grind, but the character skills mechanic is awful. The dual class system worked much better.
Love the art style and the gameplay. Perfect jrpg to chill and play, the recaps and frequent save spots make it easy to play in sessions and continue later on without missing a beat.
Great sequal/prequal/instillation of the series. The QOL improvements from 1 and 2 are amazing. I especially appriciate the updates tot he mini-map, and the changes to how jobs are handled makes things a bit more straightforward (even if the system for it isn't as interesting as the previous 2 games). I'm a sucker for town building mini-games, and the progression of the town ties in well with the main story line quests. My only complaint (which might have been purposefully done) is that very few of the traveling characters really get fleshed out in the main story line. I'm also not sure how I feel about ret-conning parts of the first game character wise, but overall, I'm really enjoying Octopath 0.
Octopath Traveler 0 is everything I loved about Octopath Traveler 1 and 2, rolled into one and expanded upon. The eight party member combat system makes things even more strategic with team building. Now characters are fixed to their jobs and the only one that gets to change job is the protagonist. The way this game adapts the storyline from Champions of the Continent seems to me like the best case scenario for salvaging something worthwhile from mobile gacha game garbage (I HATE GACHA GAMES), which I hope Square-Enix keeps doing (looking at Romancing SaGa re;univerSe). I especially enjoyed the town building aspect of this game, even if the pacing of available updates to the town's benefits and structure was kind of slow. Not being able to move certain things all game long to only unlock the ability to do so at the end of the game when all is said and done is again, kind of stupid, like giving the accessory for turning off random encounters AFTER you've beaten the game's superboss. Wow, what an amazing reward that I could have used ages ago. Again. OT1 did it, OTII did it, and I really hoped OT0 would break the streak but no. Again with this bs. I also wished there was more room in the town for buldings or houses or decorations, or that there was something else to do there. These are my only complaints, because otherwise I absolutely loved this game. I still prefer the setting, story and characters of OTII over OT1, but this game strikes a nice middleground between the two, with a more focused story throughline all the story arcs. Presentation is excellent, the HD2D style will never get old for me. and the MUSIC, wow. Incredible. I wish the original eight travelers from OT1 weren't recruitable in this, I'd have prefered more original characters from OT0 or imported/adapted from CotC. I decided early on that I'd only recruit them for their masteries and the achievements, but I never used any of them until the very final battle and the superboss (And I only used only Cyrus for the latter bc he's the second linchpin of the strategy I used to beat said superboss). if their appearances here as recruitable characters is both non-canonical and purely for fanservice, I'd much rather have gotten other characters instead. Anyone who enjoyed the series so far will find plenty to enjoy in this, and so will anyone who enjoys satisfying turn-based rpg gameplay. I highly recommend it.
