About
In this game, you take on the role of Chichi Pyonma. She's a 15-year-old high school student from the unremarkable small town of Silver Bay, MN. Today is a particular day — a rather important one — that drastically shaped Chichi's adolescence from this point onward. It is not for the faint of heart.

Before playing this short experience, it is highly recommend that you delve into the contents of pyonpyon87's blog. This is a companion piece to Niomi's debut full-length record, 'chichi'.
A short interactive story!
From when you boot up the game, to the moment it inevitably closes on you, oct 14 serves to tell a short, atmospherically rich, and (mostly) historically accurate story that allows the player to live a few minutes in Chichi's world from a top-down RPG perspective. There is only one ending.
In-depth environmental flavor text!
You can interact with just about every object in the environment. You'll get a little bit of world-building every time you do! Never skip over the details, you never know what you could be missing...
A period-accurate MPEG Audio Layer 3 playback device!
In other words, it's a working MP3 player, and it still has a couple songs on it too! Isn't that cool? However, in order to access it, you might have to snoop around places you shouldn't be.
Cute character portraits!
Everyone's favorite anxiety-ridden teenager gets her own set of handcrafted facial expressions that appear during dialogue! These talking heads, as well as the game's art and visual assets as a whole, were all drawn by Niomi.

what the actual ♥♥♥♥ did i just play dude to sum it up, it's just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bait and switch horror "game" with a 7 minutes long cutscene that barely gives any context and doesnt explain anything about the story of this "game" at all also, no trigger warnings nor anything at all in the menu screen, only at the bottom of the description of this "game". does the dev of this "game" want people go deaf by playing unnessesary loud audios to "scare" whoever is playing this garbage? or a cutscene that
somebody gets ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stabbed multiple times and is hit by a truck
to also show how "scary" this is? and also the f-slur being on one of the lockers inside the school is so random and unnecessary?? LMFAO?? if you want to play an ACTUAL good horror game with a good storyline and lore, i would recommend playing "Mr Hopp's Playhouse" than this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. overall, 0/10, dont waste your time playing this and dont bother downloading it, just play something else.
not a long experience n not much to do but its one part of a project so it makes sense. gives extra context to some of the stuff that happens in the narrative

oh.
Taking the game as a standalone experience, it is pretty confusing and it will probably leave you very lost. However, as the rest of the reviews say, it's better to experience this game and put it together with the blog and the visual album on youtube. (You can search them as pyonpyon87's blog on any search engine and Chichi on youtube respectively) Personally i experienced first the website briefly then jumped to this game, afterwards more website exploration and finally ended with the visual album. No matter the order you take to experience this triad of an artwork, you'll find it paints a surprisingly important picture of
moving on from a very traumatic experience, and coming to terms with catastrophic mistakes.
But it's probably better that you come to your own conclusions yourself.
It's a nice, short, oddly haunting experience
A great companion piece to the pyonpyon87 ARG.
