About
Ocean Cleaner Idle is an incremental solarpunk game. Use your mouse to pick up plastic and other trash from the ocean. Recycle trash into materials to upgrade your ship.
When Meerlinda rose to the surface, she was greeted with an awful sight! To her disgust there was a huge mass of waste polluting the waters. She found out that humans have been using the oceans as a garbage dump for all of their history. Furious about the mess, but not discouraged by it, she decides to fix the problem. She embarks on a mission to clean it all up!

Meerlinda’s ship Gentle Breeze combines Atlantean shipbuilding traditions with their latest technology. Its biomimetic hull is streamlined like a fish and built from sustainable materials. It is not reliant on fossil fuels as it is propelled by sails and powered by solar energy. It uses nets, traps and filters to collect seaborne trash.

Meerlinda uses recycled materials to upgrade her ship. The materials are split into four Tiers: plastic, cellulose, glass and metal. Upgrades help you clean the ocean faster. Some upgrades will collect trash automatically for the idle play experience.

Waves of trash

We were inspired to make our game by a real world problem that afflicts sea life around the world. It hurts and kills animals trapped in it. Microplastics carry toxic chemicals and accumulate in the food chain. There are already millions of tons of trash in the oceans and millions more are added every year. The size of the trash varies from microscopic pieces to whole ships abandoned to the ocean bottom. Most of the trash is plastic, but any material produced can end up there. Unfortunately cleaning up the oceans is not easy in real life. The best way to tackle the problem is to reduce the amount of trash that ends up in the ocean.
Reduce consumption of single-use products
Choose products packaged in re-usable or biodegradable materials
Instead of buying fast fashion, consider drift shopping
Don’t buy products with microbeads in them
Recycle your trash and dispose of it properly
Avoid seafood, and if you do eat it buy only from MSC certified producers to reduce trash from abandoned fishing nets
Support sustainable businesses, organizations and governments
Demonstrate your opinion
Demand laws to protect the oceans
Participate in coast cleanups and other local pro-environmental activities

Not fun. Asks you to play for a year. Prestige mechanics aren't really clear. Requires manual saving and loading. No way to improve recycling speed found. Compared to other incremental/idle options out there, it's pretty lacking, and even at a cheap price, it needs A LOT of work to achieve the levels of fun other games offer. Reviews seem boosted by a bunch of questionable finnish accounts. Your motivation and intent to promote ocean conservation is noble, but the message would hit harder if the game was actually good.
Rezension anpassen.
The game's great if you just want a cheap 'lil game to waste time for a little bit, although some aspects like the sound that plays when you cannot collect trash for a little while stacks to the point where it gets quite annoying. It also does feel rather annoying having to wait until you can continue playing the game. The music is pretty good for the time and quite relaxing while fitting the cute art style and the graphics do look nice too although sometimes the trash seems to bug under the ship in certain conditions? As for progression, it's clear although some of the collection abilities are rather overshadowed by others ( or I just had no clue how much effect they had ) but perhaps since I'm not an avid idler player it might just seem that way but I found some of the abilities more bland. All in all I did enjoy it for a solid two hours and it was worth the money for the time being, I'll probably play it some other time when I feel like watching stuff and keeping the rest of my braincells occupied!
No, this does not feel good to play. Variety is zero. I can't understand how the resource conversion system works, sometimes it's a steady trickle, other times it just gets stuck, the upgrade system is broken and there doesn't seem to be any sort of goal. You're just thrown into the game with no context and just expected to get at it. I have a feeling this was supposed to be more. There is a menu button to go to the main menu, but it just takes you to the screen where pressing any button gets you back into the game.
This game has significant issues, bugs, and glitches that make it a terrible playing experience. Spent a ton of time collecting resources to purchase upgrades, and open closing and reopening the game, the upgrades reset with no way to get them back. I'm not willing to spend so much time getting all the achievements just because the game bugged and it takes forever. It's not a fun game, and it feels half-baked.
A relaxing game that is easy to sink some hours into. The beautiful art style and calming music go really well together and it's also quite addicting clicking away at trash
REFUND!
It's a nice cozy clicker/idle game in which you collect trash in the ocean to recycle the trash into something more useful. Visuals of the game are pleasing and relaxing and if you are looking for something small and casual to sink some time into I would recommend to try this.
When I first played the demo, I was confused with the mechanics. After purchasing the full release, nothing has changed. It is an absolute slog to get anywhere near the amount you need to upgrade anything. If I purchase an upgrade that says it increases the amount of trash I find, why am I having to manually click? Then, when I continually manually click to bring up trash, why am I barely finding trash that is worth more? The game play is not fun. The idea is great. I really think the whole trash system needs a rework.
Way.............. too..................................... slow
