A short graphic adventure with puzzles and dark humor. Although the graphics are very cute and hand-drawn, it's not a game for children. Nubia is a little girl who lives happily in a small village. One day, an evil witch arrives and casts a curse. The only way to free everyone is contained in a mysterious chest that suddenly appears, but five sacred keys are needed to open it. Nubia sets out on her little jet and travels through five regions to find the keys. The puzzles aren't easy because they don't always follow a logic; sometimes you have to try different choices and do strange things. Nubia will meet many bizarre characters, and the dialogue will be unpredictable and comical. Be careful because there's no autosave; remember to save manually before closing. The lack of a hint button is a disappointment; sometimes you don't know what to do, and I find this annoying. Overall, it's a fun adventure that offers a few hours of fun. Short little puzzle game with silly humour, it reminded me of those funny point & click puzzle games I used to play on the internet back in the day. The jokes are ridiculous in the best way possible and the puzzles are head-scratching, game feels nostalgic but with better visuals. Love the humour of the dev XD

[h1] NubiaPhobia [/h1] [h3] Positives: [/h3] + The intro-song + Parts of the humour + Some of the puzzles + Cute, colourful and inappropriate + Some nice artwork + Ok sounds + Save game + Its short (over in about 1-1.5 hour) [h3] Negatives: [/h3] - The intro-song (it gets annoying fast) - Parts of the humour (read: bad) - Some of the puzzles (about half of them dosent follow logic) - Soft locks (so remember to save often) - Very linear (you must do everything in EXACT order to procced) - Point'n'click navigation is not the best choice - No hint system - Much of the forced dialogue is uninteresting [h3] Conclusion: [/h3] This game somehow reminded me of the cult series "Happy Tree Friends". But HTF is way better than this game. And Im not a big fan of point'n'click games in general. In my opinion its almost always better to stick with classic first person or third person view. And this is the second game of TB I didnt like, so I hope he gets back to his usual quality walking sims soon (please!). And as for NubiaPhobia, you can easily skip this one. A short, funny puzzle adventure with great art and clever humor. feels nostalgic but fresh , kinda like a classic internet game remade for today and i love it! some of the puzzles really made me scratch my head tho..

Definitiv Kategorie Fiebertraum und leider absolut nicht mein Genre. Ich finde Point & Click immer zum Verzweifeln wenn sie absolut unlogisch sind, man alles mit allem probieren muss, Trial & Error die einzige Möglichkeit ist um voran zu kommen und es nicht mal eine art "Hinweissystem" gibt um einen auf die richtige Fährte zu lenken oder erkennen zu geben womit man interagieren kann. Z.B. könnte ein innerer Monolog hilfreich sein, wenn Nubia oder wie heißt bemerkt, dass diese Puppe sehr weich im inneren ist, jedoch ungleichmäßig gefüllt sozusagen als Hinweis, dass dort ein Schwamm versteckt ist, und die Zähne des Rehs doch so scharf währen wie Klingen. Manchmal braucht man in aller unsinnigkeit leichte Stubser um selbst auf das Ergebnis zu kommen. Gibt es nichts in der richtung verzweifelt man an sinnlosem Trial and Error. NubiaPhobia hat was das angeht auf ganzer Linie versagt. Der Artstyle ist zwar cool, aber das Gamedesign ist meiner Meinung nach nicht ganz durchdacht. Nubiaphobia is NOT for kids no matter how cute it looks! If you are an adult though it can be very cute visuals and funny dialogue! one problem i had was that the mouse wasn't locked into the game screen which ended up making me click on other things 8/10

Cute little point 'n click. Dug the humor and was a fun little game. If you want some old skool adventuring you could do far worse.

I'm not sure I particularly enjoyed the game, but I think that's more personal preference than anything to do with the game itself. I'm not always a fan of protagonists who don't reflect my own values. This was a silly little experience. I'm wondering if I should have waited for it to go on sale, though. I also kind of expected things to get a bit darker than they did. This game could almost be PG if just a handful of things were changed.
