solid graphics, shootem up with store system and Rogue Like elements, special features are special weapons, some of which can be bought or acquired through the Roguelike element. If you die, you can spend upgrade points in a Rogue Like upgrade store system. motivating. It's a slightly easier shoot em up, but not as easy as the negative review says.
Waaaait a min, this isn't gay sex with my gf, it's a 2d action rogue lite bullet hell indie game... That's false advertising smh
so about this game - it has so much potential, but it seems like the devs started it good and then they had to go grab smth to eat and wanted to finish the final and most important options and settings of the game without giving it much thought. tl;dr I would give it 6/10 cons: -you can only choose one type of each category and not make your own deck - a lot of grinding - secondary weapon problem - the main weapon can not change pros: - the movement is good - it's challenging - it sort of makes you wanna finish it haha you can enjoy it but with the following suggestions it could have been way way better. the limit system where you only place one category of each sort doesnt make it fun to play the entire point it where you can design whatever you want , and the devs should take care for the balane better. also the fact that there are only 12 slots and it doesnt grow with the player also sucks. plus it'd have been better if you could after a reaching a certain stage start directly from there without having to repeat the enitre stages of this chapter. also and this is really nerfs the experience is the secondary weapons, why cant you just accumulate them ? and also changing between 2 weapons you possess, simply deletes the first one. and also the switching takes a lot of time , most of the times I switched I just died since its too long. and one last thing , on the finaly boss there is not way to evade the bullets which isnt the point of such games. how I won it , was by buying the two most powerful weapons railgun and grenade launcher fill them to its fullest, and the save them for the final part , and use the defence chip that makes this bubble that pushes away bullets ( I specifically used also the regeneration 30% which was very handy) , and just save the weapons to the end and once the many bullets start coming empty all the secondary weapons on it you dont even have to move , anyway you are gonna get hit. that's it if you read until now , I thank you for your patiene and hope you found that helpful :)

Plays great on steam deck and over all great for the price
Nice little rogue like.
I like it! Cute little shmup with a retro feel. Gonna keep playing to see how far I can get, but I like all the weapons. Ignore the other reviews saying 'they don't fire', they have a charge up time that needs to be held down.
Nova Strike is a fast-paced roguelite shoot ’em up that successfully combines retro arcade action with modern progression systems and randomized gameplay structure. Developed by Sanuk Games and published by Nacon, the game places players inside a dangerous galaxy overwhelmed by hostile fleets, forcing them to survive endless waves of enemies while gradually upgrading their ship through repeated runs. While its core design clearly takes inspiration from classic arcade shooters, Nova Strike modernizes the formula through procedural generation, persistent upgrades, and extensive weapon customization that help give the game strong replay value. The gameplay immediately establishes a rapid and energetic pace. Enemy ships swarm the screen from multiple directions while lasers, missiles, and bullet patterns constantly pressure players into staying mobile. Controls are responsive and easy to learn, making the game approachable even for players unfamiliar with bullet-heavy arcade shooters. Movement feels smooth, weapons fire with satisfying impact, and dodging enemy attacks creates the kind of intense rhythm that defines the best arcade-inspired shooters. One of the game’s strongest features is its roguelite structure. Instead of replaying identical levels repeatedly, Nova Strike uses procedurally generated stages that alter enemy layouts, combat encounters, and progression routes with every run. This helps keep the experience fresh because players are forced to adapt to changing situations rather than memorizing fixed stage patterns. Even failed attempts still contribute to long-term progression, making every run feel meaningful regardless of success or defeat. Persistent progression systems add another layer of satisfaction to the experience. Players collect resources during runs that can later be used to unlock stronger weapons, passive upgrades, and additional combat abilities. This creates a steady feeling of advancement where players gradually become more powerful over time. Unlocking new upgrades and experimenting with stronger loadouts becomes highly addictive because each improvement noticeably changes combat effectiveness during future attempts. Customization is one of the areas where Nova Strike performs particularly well. The game includes a large variety of secondary weapons and upgrade abilities that allow players to shape their preferred playstyle. Missiles, explosive attacks, defensive barriers, drones, and offensive enhancements all dramatically influence how encounters unfold. Some builds emphasize raw firepower while others focus more heavily on survival and crowd control. This flexibility encourages experimentation and prevents the gameplay from feeling too repetitive during extended sessions. Boss encounters are among the most exciting parts of the game. Massive enemy ships and powerful commanders appear after surviving long combat sequences, introducing complex attack patterns that demand fast reflexes and careful positioning. These battles often become visually chaotic as the screen fills with projectiles and explosive effects, but they also create some of the most rewarding moments in the game. Learning enemy attack patterns and finally overcoming difficult bosses after repeated attempts provides a strong sense of accomplishment. Visually, Nova Strike embraces a retro science-fiction aesthetic filled with glowing projectiles, colorful explosions, and arcade-inspired visual effects. The game clearly draws inspiration from classic space shooters while still maintaining enough polish to feel modern. Enemy ships, space environments, and combat animations all contribute to the energetic arcade atmosphere without sacrificing gameplay readability. Even during chaotic battles, the visual design generally succeeds at keeping enemy attacks recognizable and manageable. The soundtrack also supports the action effectively. Electronic music and high-energy combat tracks help maintain momentum throughout each run while reinforcing the game’s futuristic atmosphere. Weapon sounds, explosions, and enemy destruction all feel impactful enough to make combat satisfying during longer sessions. The audio design may not be especially groundbreaking, but it complements the gameplay perfectly. Another major strength is how accessible the game feels despite its arcade roots. Nova Strike introduces difficulty gradually rather than immediately overwhelming players with impossible bullet patterns. The upgrade systems also help soften the learning curve because players steadily become stronger with every completed run. This balance between challenge and progression allows the game to appeal to both experienced shoot ’em up fans and players newer to the genre. However, the game is not completely free from repetition. Despite the procedural generation, the core gameplay loop remains relatively straightforward, and some runs can begin to feel familiar after long sessions. Enemy variety does not evolve dramatically enough throughout the experience to fully eliminate repetition, particularly for players who spend extensive time grinding upgrades and resources. Technical performance issues have also been noted occasionally. During particularly intense battles filled with explosions and enemy projectiles, minor frame-rate drops and performance inconsistencies can occur. In a game built around precise movement and reaction timing, even small technical interruptions can become frustrating during difficult encounters. The narrative side of the experience is also fairly minimal. Nova Strike focuses almost entirely on gameplay rather than storytelling, meaning players looking for deep science-fiction lore or memorable characters may find the presentation somewhat lacking. The game’s primary focus is clearly on arcade combat and progression systems rather than narrative immersion. Despite these weaknesses, Nova Strike succeeds because its core gameplay remains consistently enjoyable and addictive. The combination of smooth controls, rewarding progression, procedural replayability, and satisfying customization creates a gameplay loop that keeps players returning for one more run. The game captures the spirit of classic arcade shooters while introducing enough modern mechanics to remain engaging for contemporary audiences. For fans of retro-inspired shooters, roguelite progression systems, and fast arcade combat, Nova Strike delivers an entertaining experience filled with intense battles, rewarding upgrades, and strong replay value. While the repetitive structure and occasional technical issues prevent it from reaching the highest level of the genre, the game still stands as a highly enjoyable and polished modern take on classic space shooter design.
