Nova Hearts

This is a mixed experience. The story was engaging most of the time and I enjoyed the animations and art styles. The turn based combat was a huge detractor for me. It felt slow, upgrades were far too infrequent and expensive to get, and making sense of all the combos was confusing. You don't upgrade your stats at any point in the game so you stay with the same hp from start to end. Many enemies feel like sponges. You typically have 3-4 fights per chapter which grant you 250 xp a piece. Skills cost 500 or more on average to upgrade. The three party members have 5 or so skills and this ends up feeling like upgrades are not worthwhile and just to slow building. I do like what the game was going for but it just didn't click for me.

Recomendo jogar a demo antes de comprar, gosto muito desse estilo de jogo mas esse particularmente não me agradou tanto. Os personagens são bonitos, a arte é bem feita, mas os diálogos são só chatos. Se vocês tem alguma coisa com linguagem neutra esse jogo não é pra você, particularmente não me incomodou.

I think with the new balance changes and being able to skip the combat if you want enhances the story experience but kind of undercuts the point of the game. The ending is also kind of abrupt and very bittersweet. Definitely could have used another chapter or a longer final chapter. The diversity in the game is top tier though and these characters are very fun to interact with (you can also be absolute bastard in this game if you want to be, which can be pretty funny). If you don't vibe with the combat, wait for a sale to experience the story.

Определенно игра не для всех. Попытка совместить два жанра -- дейст-сим и пошаговую стратегию -- показалась мне не самой удачной. Впрочем, с недавнего времени разработчики позволили пропускать бои (да, все, даже с боссами), так что можно следить за историей без душноватого пошага. Сюжет для дешевой инди относительно неплохой, но реально интересно становится только ближе к концу, а до этого приходится терпеть шаблон типа леди-баг с таким же минорным фоновым развитием истории, где основной фокус скорее уходит на раскрытие злодеев и свиданки. К слову, основной сюжет разработчики закрыли, а арки второстепенных персонажей для меня так и остались в подвешенном состоянии, что печально. Да и как будто даже про прошлое главной героини забыли и особо его не раскрыли... Пошаг паршивенький, хотя видно, что очень старались создать что-то приемлемое. Даже какая-никакая прокачка имеется. Но по большей части бои навевают скуку: львиная доля решается парой удачных критов. Часть абилок показалась мне бесполезной. Графика и стилистика необычные, но дизайн некоторых персонажей вызывает приступ кринжа. Но это все вкусовщина, конечно. Зато мультики красивые показывают. Русского нет, но английский здесь несложный. Совру, если скажу, что игра мне совсем не понравилась. В общем и целом, если очень сильно хочется проникнуться миленькой историей про волшебницу и если вас не отпугивает квир-тематика (а ей здесь измазано все от и до), то игру могу порекомендовать. От боевки многого ждать не стоит.

Déjà, avant toutes choses, merci d'avoir fait une version française. J'ai aimé le jeu, mais je pense qu'il a beaucoup de points forts comme faibles ! Les points forts étant : -La qualité graphique, je trouve la pâte graphique géniale, elle sort du lot, j'ai vraiment adoré. Ca change du rose ou du girly à outrance et j'ai même adoré le chara design des boss. -Le fait que c'est pas que de la narration, mais aussi du tour par tour. Et qu'en plus, si tu veux pas faire les combats, tu peux les passer. -Les personnages sont attachants, et je trouve qu'il y a des profils intéressants. Les points négatifs : -Je trouve qu'on nous force la main à pécho un peu tout le monde, et du coup ça me sortait un peu du truc par moment -Je rejoins beaucoup de personnes pour le coup, je reste sur ma faim concernant la relation des persos. En fait pour un dating sim/otome game, ne pas avoir réellement de fin avec notre perso favori, c'est super frustrant. Y'a aussi pas mal de personnages qu'on voit plus ou peu, et j'aurai aimé en avoir plus sur pas mal de personnages. En fait, je trouve que c'est pas super creusé, donc j'espère voir un jour un DLC ou une partie 2 ! Conclusion : En tout cas, un grand merci pour le jeu, il est pas parfait mais il est beau, et c'est l'un des rares que j'aime pour un aspect précis : le fait qu'on soit pris en tant que joueurs/joueuses de romance pour une fois. Avec des systèmes de combats qu'on peut passer ou non, des character design qui changent (les boss surtout) et qui ne sont pas là que pour PLAIRE. J'aurai aimé avoir la possibilité de + approfondir des relations et qu'on me force moins la main à pécho tout ce qui bouge cependant ahah ! Je pense refaire le jeu dans quelques moi pour essayer d'avoir les illus que j'ai pas eues et faire d'autres choix, peut-être que mon jugement est un peu trop rapide, je ferai certainement une update le moment venu !

Good quirky cast of characters, everyone is thirsty to a preposterous degree, the humour is snappy, the text interface is nice and speedy to click through making it feel a lot more fast-paced than a typical VN. Unfortunately combat slows things down to a crawl... the animations look nice but it would be better if they were a bit faster or if there was less delay between actions. I would also have liked a more satisfying conclusion to the story but that's a minor quibble.

Pontos: -Personagens super assanhados, com fogo no rabo, porém, não é um jogo hentai... -Muito tema de lacração, com pronome neutro e tudo; -Interface duvidosa; -Combate bem sem graça, mal balanceado e lento; -Musica esquecível; -A arte do jogo pelo menos é bonita :) Resumo final: Um jogo que seria bom se tivesse sido feito para outro publico(+18/hentai), porém ficaram no meio termo e no final não deu em nada.

I wouldn't recommend this, but also - its really not THAT bad. If there was a sale and someone wanted to try it out for themselves, I think it'd be at least worth trying. However, I had too many issues with the game to recommend it fully. For positives, I'll say the art is FANTASTIC. I'm not a huge fan of the 3D models, but the transformation scenes are INCREDIBLE. The art is certainly the best part of the game. Using the cosmos/signs-look on the "app" on your phone to show the relationship status with others was clever. The texting between main scenes help fill in some of the interaction where it may be difficult to animate a full scene. I do like most of the characters as well, some more than others, but that's typically how these games go. As far as the character interactions and the gameplay, it leaves something to be desired. The gameplay at its base idea is fun, but in practice, it feels like there are very specific combos that you need to do each time. It makes it a little redundant. While it typically doesn't bother me when games kind of lean toward romance dialogue in a romance game, I will admit it really HEAVILY pushes you. It was obvious to me when there was one character I didn't vibe with, and I was deliberately mean to them and it still seemed pushed me toward dating them. The plot also rocket toward the end, and it leaves the pacing feeling odd.

Первое и самое важное - начинать игру,так как будто я обязательно должен был играть в первую часть,не самая лучшая мысль. Геймплей меню и в самой игре очень не удобный. Визуально в целом приятно. При этом хочу отметить как несколько лет назад мне прислали ключ для Othercide от этих же разработчиков. И тогда я очень кайфанул. Пройти полностью,я так и не настроился,но наиграть 5 часов было легко)

I put of playing this, not even really sure why, but this was amazing. Starts pretty slow and uninteresting (relatively) but I promise it gets better (and then keeps and keeps getting better). I don't think you need to be polyamorous to enjoy this game, or even queer for that matter. But if you are you need to get this. It felt like heaven. There is this poly girl who was your best friend in childhood and still could be but also maybe there is some other word for it when she is so unashamedly into you as well. There even is a girlie with whom, I think, I ended up in a queer platonic relationship in the outro, and i wouldn't have it any other way.
