The core of the game itself is good. However, as an online card game, the playerbase and active community is vital to its success. Number of concurrent players of about 30-50 on the day after release is not healthy state of a game. The developers have completely failed to market their game. There is absolutely no information or community for this game. On the 3rd page of a Google search is a subreddit whose last actual post was made almost a year ago! On top of that people a year ago were saying this game was dead. Card acquisition mechanics are completely thoughtless. They've borrowed everything from Hearthstone, but somehow think they can be even greedier than a AAA multi-billion dollar company. Disenchant to craft ratios for Legendaries are 20:1, that means if you craft a Legendary and no longer want to use it, you will only receive 5% of its value in currency. On top of that, decks that use full playsets of legendaries require 3. A legendary requires 4000 of the 'dust' currency to craft. Which translates to about $20 of real money for a single legendary. Keep in mind decks are 40 cards and you'll be running 3 legendaries in many cases. As for the unique game mechanics, simultaneous turns is a very interesting concept. However the very short turn timers and lack of time control are unnecessarily harsh. I understand that this game is meant to be a "blitz", however the design of this game is such that the fastest player is already rewarded with initiative. Being able to execute your turn in 10 seconds does not necessarily demonstrate skill. Even blitz chess gives players a 5 minute pool to think about their situation. You will arrive at complex board states in this game where there are 10 minions, many with unique or active abilities, along with any number of playable cards in your hand. For a player to create a decent play within 15 seconds may take a certain kind of skill, however I can promise you that any player will feel thoroughly disatissfied by their inability to think about their possible plays, even if they were able to scramble one together. I have played every digital card game on Steam, among many others, and I've seen very good card games with 1000+ active players spiral towards death and unplayable queues within months. Unless the game makes a drastic turnaround on its community, I cannot recommend spending ANY money on this game. It makes me very sad to say this, but the game developers must learn that it is their duty not only to make a good game, but it is also their duty to market their product to a playerbase, which they have completely failed to do. The excessively high pricing schemes for a totally unknown card game is only driving players away, and seems to reinforce this notion that they have no clue what they are doing.

If you know the general gist of Nova Blitz and want the good stuff, just scroll down to the Pros/Cons section. <3 Nova Blitz is one of the few Online CCGs that manages to carve out a unique niche for itself in the post Hearthstone era. As someone who has played NB since early, early Alpha I've had the pleasure of watching this game go through it's many, many transformations. From the days when Energy used to be in card form ala MtG to when creatures sported ungodly statistical numbers even at early levels. So I can say with complete confidence that the game you see here is a long running work in progress, and very much the best version of the game ever presented. Curious? Well, allow me to be concise then so we don't waste your time. Gameplay Summary: Like Hearthstone, NB uses a One-Energy-Gain Per Turn. . Like Magic the Gathering, it utilizies a faction/color system. After that, the similarities end. You're allowed only two of the five facions per deck and (as of now) there are no 'neutral' factions. Unlike any other card game at present, both players take their phases in unison. This allows for a chaotic yet very tactical style of gameplay where you have to consider what your opponent might do, what they might have, and how your hand matches up with or without initiative. Games are fairly quick. Lasting anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes on average. (There are slower deck that can boost this average, but even a control heavy game likely will not go beyond Turn 12 maximum.) Pros & Cons: P's -Big, big, BIIIIIG plus here for any Hearthstone player reading this. The Devs actually NERF and BUFF cards, in a timely manner no less! -And while I'm addressing that playerbase. That RNG-factor most post-Hearthstone CCGs are know for? Not gonna find it here. There are very few 'random' effects and none of them are game-deciding. The ones that do exist you can mostly play around as well. (Play out your units early to counter Goblin Fireworks, hold your units until your opponent plays their Blastbarrel Ogre, ect.) -The Development Team is one of THE most accessable for any CCG on the market. They respond to their forums, Steam forums, Discord chat, ect., ect. in a very timely manner. Not even Blizzard responds as quickly as they do to bug errors, feedback, ect. -The Development Team actually does consider player suggestions. Reasonably, they're not going to act on each and every one. But if you have a really, really good idea it might wind up in the game. The effect 'Double Block' is one such proof of this. -You can earn quite a few cards for free. If you're having troubles playing against humans play against the AI for a while. Quite literally I've played over 100 AI matches and it took quite a long time for the game to stop handing out freebies. Not just Commons or Rares either. Once you have what the game considers a 'base set' even the AI games will super rarely toss out an Epic. No to even mention the free Smart Packs you'll get from Achievements while doing so. -You can, and WILL win with the cards you recieve to start and earn against VS AI games. Most of the learning curve comes from figuring out when to attack or block, how to synergize your deck, ect. The card pool is deep enough to allow diversity but shallow enough to prevent you from being swallowed whole by it. Take it from an old veteran who hasn't earned enough cards to make anything other than 'random' decks yet. The playing field is pretty fair. (Minus a rare exception or two, which I cover in Cons). -And hey, most important yet objective Pro in the batch. Nova Blitz is FUN. Like...legitimately play and smile fun. Can't say that about many multiplayer games anymore. C's -As of writing this, there are no Daily Quests or anything to help spike your income should you only be able to play for a small amount a day. Granted, your first win seems to always give you 50 gold. But after that the rewards are kinda small for play-and-dash players. -If you weren't part of the Kickstarter Campaign, you might wanna shell out a little money in the shop just to fluff up your collection. Even though I list this as a con; the price points for their /month options are pretty fair. If you buy all three bundles ($30 total) you get the following (assuming a 30 day month). *35 Smart Packs *7000 Bits (The crafting currency) *3500 Gold (10 Drafts or 28 Packs) -Certain Decktypes, and their counters, are very Legendary Rarity heavy. Want a Construct deck? At the time of writing this; that'll set you back at 'least' 6+ Legendaries. A whopping 24000 Bits, not even counting Epics. Want to counter a Construct deck? Most of the good answers are also Legendary (such as Nature's Brawl card). So a 12000 minimum investment. Thankfully, such decks are very rare right now and might possibly be adjusted in the future or their counters might be made more readily avaliable to the common player. -At the time of writing this, certain small Quality of Life features are missing. Such as a 'Disenchant All' button for your spare copies. At present you have to manually go in and deconstruct each card on a case by case basis. You cannot search for 'Power/Spell' cards without having the units that effect them pop up as well; and there's enough of them to turn that into a visually scrambled mess depending on which faction you're rooting through. _____________________ That's it for me. Hope to see you in game~! -Halophyte
Note: If the issues get fixed I will update this review, but I'm just trying to inform people before they spent money and find out the hard way State of the game A VERY ROUGH start. 1 and a half hour in and already 5 more or less gamebreaking bugs [strike]0.) Game Freezes during Tutorial mission 3. (Fixed) [/strike] [strike]1.) Sometimes upon attacking UNBLOCKED units will move anywhere random on the screen and not attack anything at all (FIXED) [/strike] [strike]2.) Sometimes the whole board just disappears[/strike] (FIXED, but now the background is gone on the sides midfight.... see picture 2) [strike]3.) Had another gamebreaking bug, I had a 1 mana card in my hand and couldn't play it even though it was my turn, my board wasn't full and I had enough mana. 4.) Changing the language adds "German_" in front of nearly every word while the language remains English. [/strike] NEW BUG: 5.) During a block both units receive no damage (the animation still played). They do their best to fix the bugs in time, but there are so many gamedeciding bugs that I simply can't support this game at this point of time. I tried giving this game a chance, but I spent more time troubleshooting than playing. The payment model: The cash model is VERY P2W for a cardgame considering that you can purchase packs for real money that contain guaranteed legendaries. If you plan to spent a lot of money on this game that's good for you, but if you're F2P or an "occasional customer" that's a big bummer. Possibly a release issue: But I've been searching 5 minutes for a match and gotten none, so I'm stuck fighting AI. That's not a good sign considering that the buggy release and cash model don't exactly give you much reason to stick. Gameplay: Acting simulataniously gives the game a unique twist by giving players the option to "bluff" or bait enemy plays. At the same time however further strategic depth is lost since combo scenarios like Auctioneer, Patron or similiar combos in Hearthstone or Rhinoceroach combos in Shadowverse essentially aren't possible. People who like card games and want something fast to play while waiting for a matchmaking queue in another game may want to give this game a shot, so might Poker players. Magic, Hearthstone and Shadowverse players however will notice that this game traded a lot of depth for action. Either way it's free, so form your own opinion! Positive note: At least up until now the devs are active on the Steam discussion board. EDIT: Screen of the disappearing board http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=787099568 FIXED http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=787166433 NEW BUG (Blue Bars cut of the sides / no visible background behind the board)

I try most CCGs when they become public just to be sure I am not missing out on anything. Nova Blitz does a good job of making itself stand out in the sea full of CCGs that exists today. The simultaneous game play allows otherwise simple designs to produce fairly deep and interesting game play. There are a lot of “levels” and bluffing to be done between players offering a good deal of replay value. The other upside to simultaneous game play is that games never feel like they are taking forever like some CCGs do. You rarely feel like you are waiting to play - instead all of your time is actually spent playing.

Be careful spending money on this, it is a dead game and if you buy the pack that gives packs daily and dont log in you miss your pack so you dont really get what you pay for unless you literally log in and play every single day for a month straight.
Awesome! S.A.R.A.H. ,но если вы попадете на человека ,то поверьте фан очень крутой ,классные призы после кажой победы ,анимированый бой и карты ,красотища ! Побольше расскажите об этой игре и тут будет отличная атмосфера. Nova Blitz is a simultaneous combat CCG where you still buy Pay To Win packs to supplement your deck. There are 5 races/colours in this game; Divine, Chaos, Tech, Nature and Arcane. It is very similar to Magic the Gathering's Red, Black, White, Blue and Green. The objective is to lower your opponent's hitpoints to 0 before they do it to you. Divine (White) is all about healing, Chaos (Red) is all about sacrifice for more power, Tech (Blue) is about card draws, Nature (Green) is about big creatures and Arcane is all about death (Black). The gameplay is fairly similar to Hearthstone. Both players start with 40 hit points and a hand of 4 cards. You may full mulligan all 4 cards to draw another 4 cards. There is no pick and choose. The game is then divided into the initiative phase and combat phase. During the initiative phase, both players simultaneously increase their energy pool size by 1 and refill energy to their energy pool size. You use the energy to pay for the costs of using the cards in your hand. You cast spells and summon creatures during this phase. There is a fairly major issue as the timing of your summon is important. If you were to cast something 0.1 seconds before/after your opponent does, it can have a major effect on your game. E.g. There is a card called Vengeance where you sacrifice your weakest unit to kill your opponent's strongest unit. I'm sure you can figure out that when you sacrifice matters a lot. During the combat phase, you cannot cast any more spells and you use the units you summoned earlier to attack your opponent directly, block any attacking creatures or do nothing. You cannot attack an opponent's creature directly. The interesting thing is that the combat phase is done simultaneously so there is a strategic depth to this portion of the game. However, the timing is faily short so it's a rush and think scenario. The business model is 125 Credits for Basic Pack, 15 Gems for a Smart Pack and 60 Gems for a Mega Pack. You can only grind Credits. Gems are for cash players, so pay to win. There are about 30 different cards per deck type to collect. Conclusion, the feeling is that Nova Blitz is still in alpha mode. There are many problems with Nova Blitz at the moment, not to mention the pay to win scenario. It's $100 for 1350 gems. 17/11/17: They are using Etherium, the crypto-currency. However, that is the standard technology that can be used for game, like World of Warcraft gold.
PROS
1. No Summoning Sickness Everything works the moment they are summoned. It makes it easier to remember compared with traditional CCG's like Magic the Gathering. 2. Strategic Analysis During Combat Which card to attack with? Which card to block with? It's simple and great if you play with a human who can counter your moves. Do you cast Vengeance now or later? 3. Report Bug Link I assure you that something as simple as a report bug/feedback link is extremely useful for any game. Some games just take it out due to overwhelming reports or abuse. 4. Reminder Ping Lovely. I like how you can get reminders to look at the game.
CONS
1. Pay To Win I think it's fairly obvious that it's P2W. 2. Short Time to Think It's not exactly fun to have to 10 seconds to figure out your most optimal move. 3. Can't Cast Spells in Combat That removes one of the most basic things in negative CCGs. Buffing your creatures in combat to win. This is a Magic staple. 4. Cliche Game Design Raging Goblins? Minotaurs? Again? Seriously? The creatures are similar to every other CCG. While no one owns goblins or minotaurs, it is too cliche. 5. Low Player Count You can't find anyone in the global chat. 6. No Messaging Service You can't chat with your opponent. It's most likely a ploy to get players to play with AI all the time. 7. Copied Artwork The card AI Hack is an obvious copy of System Hack.
NEUTRAL
1. Initiative It's not exactly well-explained other than whoever has it attacks first. 2. Single Resource - Energy Easy to handle though it may suffer from lack of diversity. So neutral.
