About
Immigration Enforcement Case #112: You are under arrest. Unless your friends can cross a broken America, retrieve your identifying documents and stay out of trouble... this is the end of the American dream for you.
In an alternative broken America, where capitalism and political greed have taken center stage, your friend has gone missing. Snatched during a protest, Eduardo Suarez has been seized by the authorities, and now sits ready for processing in the Miami gulag.
Not Tonight 2 is an American document-checking road trip, fusing a time-pressure RPG with a politically charged, dark comedy where every decision matters. Will Eduardo's friends Malik, Kevin and Mari manage to locate and deliver his documents to Miami in time, or is this the end of the American dream?

Three compelling stories, written by a team of diverse authors
Make your way across America, making terrifying decisions along the way
Work the doors of clubs, churches, race tracks, casinos, and cults
Check IDS, while completing a variety of silly, poignant minigames

not great, mostly annoying
Great game if you like ID-checking, detail-oriented work for fun. :) Love the story and the art. I think the load function works a lot better in this one than the first Not Tonight. I do have a couple issues with the game though. Sometimes the new mechanics they put in to spice things up aren't really explained well enough, like with the musical tickets, I thought I had to hit every note and not pass it up even when it spawned on the note. It's a lot easier to do when you know you can just wait for it to loop back around to hit the note. I also think sometimes the MapO story grades were BS, like they put some dialog choices in there and if you don't just know what they want (i.e., tell jokes), then you end up with a worse playthrough or end up redoing stuff. Sometimes it was obvious, but other times it really frustrated me. Overall though, really enjoyed the game.
nice
I held off writing a review until I fully completed the game. Two full playthroughs for all the achievements took about six hours—and honestly, I had a lot more fun with this story than with Not Tonight 1. The dialogue is still cheesy and the humor dry, but it's kind of charming. The characters are likable and unique, and the story is very well paced. Nothing felt offensively political. The ongoing connections between characters make every decision feel more important, and the Map-O quests are a nice addition. I normally find it hard to go back for all achievements, but that wasn't an issue here. The achievement names alone were clear enough that I didn't need a walkthrough—except for the hidden level. As a fan of
Papers, Please,
I'm really happy the game acknowledged its inspiration and based the secret level on it. - On that note, the music on that level. 10/10. As for critiques: I'd love to see more hidden dialogue tied to cosmetics, or generally more ways to spend cash on content rather than just visual items. Also, near the end of each storyline, you tend to collect a bunch of random items from encounters. It would be more interesting if those had additional uses, like selling or trading. Overall, I really enjoyed this game. Definitely pick it up if it's on sale. Hoping for a third entry in the series.
HORRIBLE.
