About

A psychological horror puzzle about an strange VHS tape that captured a disturbingly realistic ritual.
Each viewing changes what happens on screen. Notice these changes, figure out what they mean and see if you can rewrite the ending.
You’re not the executioner, you’re the victim.
Use spatial audio to identify which victim you are and make sure the recording doesn’t end too soon.

Rearrange the footage:
What happened at 1:40?
Did the radio turn on, or did the revolver misfire?
But don’t think you can control everything. The tape has its own plans.

Lovingly recreated VHS aesthetics: noise, distortion, and analog sound - all working together to create terrifying realism.
This is not a horror about blood or jump scares.
Fear hides in the details.
Key Features:
Atmospheric PSX-style visuals with VHS look
“Director’s” gameplay - rearrange events inside the tape
Multiple challenges
Mature horror that relies on realism, not jump scares

Unique core gameplay mechanic really sells the game, loved it! I wish more horror games had more unique gameplay twists and not only narrative ones, like that one
Tl;DR Absolutely not at the price point of anywhere above 3 dollars at the bare minimum.

Explanation
There are parts about this game I like, but too many parts to dislike.
Price, Length, and Difficulty
I 100% finished this game with all words unlocked, and credits rolled. All in all, it took me around 80 minutes. This game is $6.99 full price, $5.24 for the 2026 Summer Sale. I don't refund games once I've finished them because I love indie games, and I'll extend that same courtesy here. But this game is way too expensive, in terms of difficulty. This game is ridiculously easy and nowhere near the five hours that most of the English reviews will have you believe it is. For the first stage, the basement, you can instantly check three of the people off because the stair audio is directional. The attic and the void are a little bit harder, but I guessed that the entry point for the attic is the center back of the room (and I seemed to be correct) and for the void I guessed that it was the opposite wall from the visible wall (which also seemed to be correct). Once you figure out the entry audio trick, the game gets ridiculously easier. It also doesn't help that in truth, you are not using the words to make the game easier. From the beginning, the frequency of the victims screaming and crying is so high that I was able to instantly deduce who the correct choice was. They start crying and moving every time the gun ♥♥♥♥♥ (not fires), so it's ridiculously easy. I also think you probably shouldn't have given the player choice on the level, at the bare minimum. You are able to speedrun the game just by picking the attic every time because you know for a fact which side (3/6 choices) is instantly correct.
Story
I can't say much about the story. I didn't care too much for it. It's just vague-posting with a dash of Lovecraft, but it leaves you dry and unfulfilled. It tries to paint the tragic story of a man losing everything and descending into madness, but I can't say I feel very sympathetic towards a guy repeatedly watching a snuff tape. It's the same problem that the Welcome to the Game devs ran into, and unfortunately the dev(s) here failed to overcome it.
Sound (a positive)
Sound design is of course good as expected about an audio-focused game. The gun noise in particular is very jarring, and I praise the mechanic of making the actual fire time random as to jumpscare the player every time.
just a final note
Once again, I have no idea how the Steam reviewers are getting gameplay lengths of over two hours, much less four to five. This game is not hard. It is not long. Once you figure out the gimmick behind unlocking more content you will be done within thirty minutes. I can see the effort that the dev put in, but unfortunately it feels underdeveloped. Looking forward to your next project, but please don't price that one any higher than five dollars if it's anywhere near the length of this one.
https://youtu.be/Ryi5VmXBSO4 Today! We found the corpse of "Not My Hand" Flesh (Visuals): I got to say, I loved the visuals of this game, its a PSX style graphics but loved the effects, the look, the note book menus and details, very well done! Dismemberment (Difficulty): I do not think its difficult, once you know what you are doing and figure out what you need to do from hints and puzzles, you can progress pretty well, definitely some events are more helpful then others, figure out your strategy and you will do fine, NOW, sounds to detect the the right one, awesome game mechanic, takes a few and sometimes tough to tell but you cannot lose, just try again! Infestation (Bugs): Did not notice any bugs, maybe one where the tape never ended but still got my unlocks when I went to menu to restart, not game breaking, cannot confirm it was a bug or not, just a small note to through out to the void, besides that... the mess appearing at my desk :cockroach: Corpse Integrity (Story): You get a tape, you watch it, its different each time, but why? You life fall apart because... YOU MUST REWRITE THE ENDING! But what is the true ending? Game's story was cool, I loved it, gave me like, VHS movie vibes and I love found footage horror, so playing through and watching the character life dissolve to find what is the true ending was a great horror adventure. Something Off About It? (Ambience): Okay, this is a weird one... the ambience of the creepy tape is great at first but when you play through the same tape over and over again, does start to ware off the creepiness until you start unlocking and figuring out how to find new events and dramatic event, also, the new areas have extra unplanned events for some good scares, so for chills, they come and go, but setting a tone, keeping a look and vibe, does great, some viewings go crazy which adds a new angle to weird and unsettling, I became, like the character, so focused on finding the ending and which victim was me, I bounced back and forth from chills and events that make me jump from me being focused and listening for clues. I think they did a great job at it in its own way How Long To Dismember (Playtime): This is a tough one, took me about 1 Hour and 40 Minutes to finish, but pending how well you can pick up the clues, figure out the puzzles and spot which one is the correct one, you could definitely get it done quicker. Value Of Meat (Price): Right now, it is $6.99 on steam, after playing, worth it. Post Mortem Thoughts: Not My Hand, I have to say, BeetleGame makes some great games, I played Hollowglass which was tough and unique game and recommended it if you like a challenge, Rotten Crop was a stealth horror which I found tough but I liked, then there is Not My Hand which blew my brainmeat, a great, unique puzzle horror game with a great sound based concept, high recommended and my favorite game by BeetleGame at this time. I did not expect how the game was going to go, thought it was a event tracker style puzzler but turned out to be a fun, you choose the event, use the time as markers and figure out who is who, fantastic play and enjoyed the story as it progressed the character life and their effects of their obsession to the cost of the true ending. So Good, Great Job BeetleGames!
Очень классная игра. Интересная, реиграбельная. Решить головоломку не просто, и добавление событий делает поиск нужного человека еще интересней. Сначала не поняла как назначать события, но разобрались. Понравилось, однозначно рекомендую к покупке.
Impressive listen-and-choose puzzle horror game! The overall gameplay is a loop of figuring out who the "real" victim is, and trying to pick them last in order to fulfill different criteria for the events that unfold. Pretty enjoyable repetition of different things to listen for and figure who is the final target. Sound based games, especially horror one, are so awesome to find and play, and this game does an excellent job of this feature! The sound detail was excellent, as well as disturbing haha, and it did its job perfectly. I enjoyed my time figuring out how to move onto the next set, and reaching the end of it all had me satisfied in the end. Great game! ~ 👂🏽🔔🔊🔫🩻🪑
