Nofio shipped only half my order and have dragged me along in a chain of support tickets that now spans 12 months with no resolution in sight. They're now trying to pay for good Steam reviews by offering customers gift cards for doing so. Stay. Far. Away.
There is no good reason why anyone should have to reboot their pc 5+ times only for this thing to run for less than 30 minutes. Some days it works flawlessly. No red screens, no pixels, it just works. Then other days like now it just refuses to work or it does start up but there are no steam vr controllers detected so you have to reboot the pc yet again and hope for the best that it works. It's a shame as this thing has a lot of potential and thankfully I bought it second hand for cheap because any one who paid full price for this thing should demand a refund.

This isn't the product you are hoping for. The software is bad too, but this is mostly a hardware review. Tried on numerous wifi channels in America in a fairly low pollution location and could never get stable connection. From wired: frame rate took a massive hit, image quality was greatly diminished and dropped frames would have me nauseous within a few minutes of action. As much as I hate to promote Meta, there are far better options for wireless VR; I would go back to my first gen Vive with Valve wireless kit before considering putting this garbage back on my Index.
My unit was dead on arrival, 9 months later still nothing. Support is awful, at this point I should have given my money to a drug addict, at least they would get use out of it.
The Nofio isn't worth the hassle. It doesn't work half the time and the support is non-existent. If I hadn,t got these as a kick starter I would be furious, however, Nofio has made sure that I will never back anyone else.
Don't buy this garbage. Its been one and half years of ineffective and sporadic updates trying to make this thing work. It lags out, drops audio, image quality constantly dives, and that's even WHEN it works. As of now, my unit can't make it more than 10 mins before the link drops, and IF it recovers soon after there is an unrecoverable red screen. Power cycle to clear it, it all happens again. The units themselves get hot IMMEDIATELY and both fans are just on full boar the entire time. Its increasingly clear the hardware is at fault and is overheating and locking up. These have been constant and now worsening issues with every firmware update and now they have gone mostly radio silent since May. Skip this. Stick to wired.
Purchased a Nofio as a pre-order. Initial setup was a bit of a hassle to begin with but once I got everything in correctly, the performance was everything I wanted. I've seen A lot of people concerned about the latency. Personally, I cannot see any difference in latency going from wired to wireless. That said, I am not prone to motion sickness and quick movements in VR do not put me off. Visual quality could use some work for far away objects. But everything medium distance to up close is crisp and the text very readable. My game play experience from chilling in VR to FPS VR has really evolved. Definitely looking forward to their future updates!
the start was ruff but now it just works amazing the amaount of problems it had on start dont even exist anymore recomment it if u have the money over , software getting better and better every update
The initial software release wasn't perfect but the Nofio team has been putting out consistent and meaningful updates since launch that have lead to significant improvement. I've never felt inclined to go back to a wired experience and at this point the software is so good I don't notice a difference anymore.
Software that doesn't work for a device that doesn't work from a company that refuses to offer any support. TL;DR: a giant piece of junk not worth the materials used to make it.
