Nightmare on Azathoth is a dark game, in which you might not want to find the truth. Manage your base, scavenge, collect memory fragments, and collect resources to power up your spaceship to escape this planet. Death only brings an endless time loop, that restarts everything on the 4th day.
Cool Sci-Fi/Horror Indie Project
An interesting and intriguing concept. It definitely has potential as full Horror/Survival game with more content and polish if the publisher and devs ever wanted to expand this project. (This is a kind of short, bitesized alpha-ish game) I haven't completed this game yet but got to the very end and then died what seemed to be a random physics glitch or invisible insta-death area in my base before I could escape! I died when walking next the maintenance robot that moves back and forth between the volatile, burning dark fuel (that will kill you if you move into it) and the maintenace-pad-type-thingy that is normally safe to traverse. But apparently, it is safe only for most of the game it is NO LONGER a safe area at the end, to my dismay... Perhaps I did not notice, but I suppose that area has dangerous, buring dark fuel too once you're at the end of the game. All I know is I died instanly from mostly full health when I walked across it, and that only happens when you walk into the blazing dark fuel that is in the corner of the base. I was kind of upset after I made it all the way to the end of the game and almost escaped > : ( I do not remember seeing anything dangerous on the pad. Perhaps my maintenace robot crushed me when I moved across it and the big robot stepped onto it. Or it dumped burning dark fuel on the pad as a walked on it. I have tried to recreate it at the begining of a new game to understand why I died. But, I can stand on the pad with the robot moving around me and it does not kill me...?? Other than this fairly off-putting moment, this game has a dark, spooky sci-fi atmosphere and creepy, lovecraftian monster vibe which I think is a pretty cool blend of genres. It is not exactly unique, as there is a similar Sci-Fi/Lovecraft Horror style game on Steam called Noct. But that is a top-down shooter while this is a third-person shooter. The TPS and survival mechanics of this game are pretty run of the mill, but the games winning assets are the atmosphere and mysterious story. Again, considering this is sort of an alpha and looks to be a mostly independent concept project, it would be unfair to knock it for gameplay mechanics/polish. Still, I can't exactly recommend this purchase, currently at $8, for someone who is not a fan of these genre's considering said amount of content and polish. But, if you like to support independent projects like this and do like Horror and/or Sci-Fi, you will get a few hours of intriguing gameplay from Nightmare on Azathoth, once you get past the learning curve as this game has no real tutorial. You will have to learn from exploration and moslty figure things out on your own with a handful of help messages in the menu and the base.
Really pretty good, went in with low expectations but this is a decently scary and interesting game.

Maniabilité est mauvaise et sans interet. Sorry
What the heck is going on?! How do win?

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
