Nightmare on Azathoth is a dark game, in which you might not want to find the truth. Manage your base, scavenge, collect memory fragments, and collect resources to power up your spaceship to escape this planet. Death only brings an endless time loop, that restarts everything on the 4th day.

Not the craziest epic horror game, but for an indie game it's very good. Well I dont really have much to add, just wanted to vote up this game... The character and HUD remind me a bit of dead space, which is great. EDIT: OK this review feels a little lazy so I'll add useful info You're a man whose ship crashed on a planet, you spawn in a base and have to explore the environment in order to find ressources to survive (food, ammo, other stuff used as spare parts...) you'll encounter various monsters that are pretty creepy (a huge flying head, a dancer-like slender creature that changes the music when it charges you...) overall the game has nothing but black/white/grey colors, it is very.VERY.VERY dark. It's not for everyone, but it has its good sides such as a relatively challenging survival aspect, mistery, and an interesting creatures design.
The game is pretty good for it's price, but I have one problem with it... Namely, the introduction. I'm going to ignore the terrible voice-acting, and instead focus on a tiny little aspect. You said "Darkness as dark as the absence of light" (or something like that). Please, no. Darkness IS the absence of light, and I kind of wanted to gouge out my eyes for reading it, and then my ears for hearing it.
There is literally, nothing to see
This game has a very dark and tense atmosphere, it is very creepy and obvious is the impact of H. P. Lovecraft , which was the first reason to buy it . The story is unclear , even you are not sure what are you are doing, you do not know what your goal is, which only adds to the tension and unease that the game has . Action is well done , sounds are excellent , although the overall impression is that the game needs finishing and polishing. Finally, I would recommend this game to all fans of horror .
I think i'm going to really like this one.
The game sucks...
Only get this if you're a glutton for confused punishment and tedium.
A good game for the price, even more so if its on offer. NOTE: Do NOT expect a AAA game, note the price, and he aint asking for much. the developer's response is what made me buy this game, and its a good jump-in-and-play horror game with some elements of survival on an alien dark world. As of 18th/08/2016, ill personally give it a 8/10, bumped from 6, due to the cheap price. (P.S its officialy "out", not EA and does have some minor bugs still which the developer is fixing and supporting, 1 man army bro!!)
Tags: 3PSurv - Third Person Survival Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Little more than a unity engine walking simulator with a survival gauge that goes down. Aiming and shooting is unresponsive, with very slow rate of fire. Many more technical issues. The game dropped frames when panning the camera. The tiny map I was in was unfinished. I clipped through the floor and died and the roof was unfinished with beams to construct the ceiling but no paneling and the beams just cut off abruptly. Voice acting for intro was amateur.
