About
Neverending AI Storybook runs all its AI magic right on your machine—which means:
🎮 You’ll need a dedicated GPU with 8GB VRAM or more, like an RTX 2060 or RX 6600.
🔥 Bonus: It works on both NVIDIA and AMD cards, so don’t worry if you're rocking a Radeon.
🧠 A fast SSD is also helpful but not required—this thing moves big models around (2.5GB+) and needs fast storage to keep up.
We support a wide range of cards from roughly 2020 and onward, so if you’ve got a fairly recent gaming rig, you're probably good!
Every adventure is unique. Every image is AI-crafted.
No servers. No subscriptions. Just endless storytelling, powered by local AI that responds to your imagination.
Features:
• 🧠 Fully local, private AI-generated stories — no internet required
• ☁️ Cloud based model option (Google Gemini (not private, requires your own API key)) for users with slower hardware
• 🖼️ AI-generated art for every scene, with customizable visual style
• ⚖️ Your choices matter: pick from actions or type your own
• 🎮 No subscriptions required for local generation, no limits — just unlimited adventures
• 🔒 100% private when generated locally — nothing leaves your machine
• 🪛 Load your own AI Text models — supports GGUF via llama.cpp
• ⚙️ Powered by llama.cpp & Stable Diffusion — zero setup required
• 🧩 Works with both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs (see system requirements)

Reviews
Reading through the reviews here, I got the impression that the game suffers from occasional crashes. Occasional crashes, I can deal with. However, in several attempts, the game crashed every single time I hit the "Begin" button. I've never refunded a game before, but in this case I cannot justify keeping a game I can't even start.
I began playing the game and encountered several technical difficulties, including crashes and instances where it became unresponsive or closed unexpectedly. I look forward to the opportunity to revisit the game once these issues are addressed. It shows a lot of promise, and I would be excited to experience a fully operational version.
If you've ever read a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book, or one of its many, many cousins, and you experienced regret over the cold truth that all books have an end, then this is a great toy to play around with! The thing about Truth, however, is that once you break its inherent immutability, then everything experienced in that context turns into a kind of fever dream where coherency becomes tied, not to causality, but to mere nouns. The other thing about Truth, in this game, is that it seems to constantly be both captive and savior, either being locked away, or on the cusp of "setting us free", before the story wheels away to descend another level of fractal whodunnit. Scooby-Doo and pals would sell their van and take up communal life on a farm if they ever encountered a mystery with this many secrets, of past action and architecture both. Oh, and the AI here has a knack for making up words for reasons I couldn't begin to guess: from turning character names into verbs, to outright making up a word to do the work of an already existing one (ex. 'Fiche the door, revealing a narrow passage'). I generally found this amusing and occasionally perplexing. If you like confusing stories where protagonists and supporting characters are subjected to more revolving than a uranium centrifuge and where the line that connects past and present isn't so much an arrow as it is an option, then you will have, er, neverending fun with this title! One caveat though: I had to turn off image generation on my system; the process for providing a simple illustration with which to enhance the story was, itself, neverending. If you ever found yourself thinking that you could produce Midjourney-level of content on your own system resources, then prepare to be humbled.
As a big fan of choose your own adventure books, I really love the idea here and excited to see where it goes. Being able to name your character and add some background yourself before you start is super cool because it's more personalized to you.
I"ve tried to play this game twice and to be honest, Ive rather enjoyd myself with it. My major complaint is you can't save your game? or am i missing something? Saving aside its a solid enough ai storyingtelling experience for the super low price and the developer seems active. Just......pls.....I want to save my game......
What a great concept! A little rough around the edges but the potential is definitely here.
for the price its a nice experiment. but not as hreat as dreamIO or ai roguelite
Genuinely new and endlessly replayable, this AI storybook is absolutely worth checking out. It takes the classic choose-your-own-adventure concept and makes it endlessly flexible. Every single playthrough is a completely new journey. You're not just following branching paths; you're truly interacting with a dynamic narrative that adapts to your choices. The "infinite adventure" promise feels real here. If you have a higher-end GPU, the experience really shines if you use a more capable model than the included one. From a technical standpoint, running it on my 3090, I experienced no crashes. I did encounter one instance where the game hung, requiring a restart, but that felt like a minor hiccup rather than a persistent issue. At its current price point, this feels like an absolute bargain for the amount of unique content it can generate. With future updates I’m excited to think about how much better this game will become. If you enjoy creative writing, unique narratives, and seeing the potential of AI in gaming, jump in. I'm genuinely excited to watch this game grow.
The problem here is it takes up an insane amount of space... only to do essentially what you can already do by going to ChatGPT and asking it to help you build a story. It's even got a personalized freedom, since you're essentially feeding OpenAI's program your own prompts. And the free version of ChatGPT is all you need for a 'choose your own adventure' type story.
This shows the potential AI has on the gaming market. A few questions and this can generate a story with interesting outcomes which may have not be thought of otherwise. I ran into one crash using a 2070 super but given the initial release, it will only get better 9/10.
