Neptune Flux

Neptune Flux is a atmospheric underwater story-driven exploration game in a dystopian future. You take on the role of Sarah, an A.Q.U.A. employee trying to keep her mind off of her troubled past while tasked with finding the source of strange energy surges. As you explore the open ocean you'll discover the secrets about you're mothers disappearance. It's a short game but I really enjoyed it.

The feeling of scavenging an ocean floor for parts and quest items in a submersible was really well done and enjoyable. Great game! The story, the music, and the in-game world come together to create an intriguing and enjoyable playing experience. I played this game without VR, and it was still very good, but I suspect it would really shine in VR. Pros - Story-driven - Good balance between hiding things but not making them impossible to find. - The controls are very well laid out (with a gamepad) making it easy to navigate 3D space. Cons - It's short right now. But there is more content in the making.

An enjoyable little game in VR. Great story and voiceacting. A little short, but for a VR game i felt i got my moneys worth.

I love this game! I don't understand the negative reviews at all. For me, this was a very atmospheric game, good story and excellent execution of the concept. The dive pod feels real (and kind of cozy ;) and the controls work well. I enjoyed diving around in this mysterious ocean and I hope more content will come!

Most VR games are more like gimmicky apps, but Neptune Flux is a story-driven adventure game in an open world. Grow the capabilities of your pod by searching for salvage and treasure. Look back through time to figure out the mystery. While it isn't a huge story, it's involved, engaging, and helps set the stage for what we should expect in VR gaming.

The game has a lot of potential.. I played through most and got really immersed in the story and mystery around the mother character, sadly the game glitched out before I reached the end and deleted my save (Pre-Release version) Anyway here is a short "non" spoilery video from the game ! An interesting concept, good graphics. Underwater dwelling is certainly a slightly different challenge. A few things could be improved, such as the minisub upgrades - one could spend money repeatedly on an upgrade already owned, as there is no equipment indicator - and subject upgrades appear to have minimal effect on the gameplay. Huge problem is, I completed the whole game in less than 90 minutes. Even Hidden objects-type games will challenge the average player longer than this one. Was it worth the money spent? Certainly not.
