Neon Racer

"Neon Racer" barely qualifies as a game. At least this can already be determined from looking at the screenshots as they depict the "gameplay" perfectly. Let's break down the store page's feature list, shall we? [quote]Exciting gameplay[/quote] As exciting as watching paint dry. The road is just an endless straight. All you do is press W to accelerate and [i]maybe[/i] A/D to steer left/right. There's no heads-on traffic and you can avoid all other cars by just keeping to the right. [quote]More than 10 car models[/quote] True, however you can only drive 6 of them and the only difference is their top and lane change speed. Question remains if you'll ever be able to buy even [i]one[/i] of them as the prices are extremely high. You earn 8,5 points per second no matter which car you use and the money you get is 1/10th of your score so you'll need to play [i]over three hours[/i] to buy even the first car. Yep, not going to happen. No, "Neon Racer" is not a good game at all. Even at the meager asking price of $1 this is nothing you'll want to see, trust me. It also looks like the "developer" basically released the same game twice as [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/1713680/80s_Night/?curator_clanid=4777282&utm_source=SteamDB]80's Night[/url] looks remarkably similar but actually features achievements. You just hold down W for endless time and move around cars that take no skill to avoid.... it's pretty to look at for about 5 minutes but that's it. maybe if you wanna just vedge out and listen to music and turn your brain off to let your reflexes take over, this would be good for that.... but there's probably plenty of other games better at that. this feels more like a tech demo than a game.

♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, barely qualifies as a game. No music. 4 lanes, but the 4th one doesn't have any cars, so you can just stay there. Not worth a penny.

Der Wagen [i]holt aus![/i] Ernsthaft, wenn man nach links lenken will, bewegt sich der Wagen erst mal nen knappen halben Meter nach rechts zur Einleitung des Lenkvorgangs. Anscheinend eine fehlerhaft eingesetzte Objekt-Animanion, das Fahrzeug-Objekt müsste sich genau so viel nach links bewegen um die Animation auszugleichen. Diese Feinabstimmung zu implementieren sah sich der Entwickler wohl außer Stande. Dieses Game taugt nur als Beispiel, wie man es nicht machen sollte.

Slowest racer I have ever played, no soundtrack, and you can just hang out in the right lane and never hit anything. There's not even a crash animation when your car hits another car. It just says, "You Lose!" and that's it. What a disappointment, even at this price point.
