Okay so I just beat this and I plan on playing through it at least one more time. If you enjoy student project "souls-likes" then you'll probably have a good time with Neeron. The combat is simple but has a decent little twist on things, you get three elemental weapons that you can switch between seamlessly while you fight elemental robots, doing more damage to them depending on what kind of element they are weak to and which weapon you are using. That's really about it for the combat, you have a dodge but it doesn't feel that good, it's not terrible or game breaking though so it's not too big of a deal. The game looks pretty nice although interacting with the world can be a little frustrating. Lots of invisible walls where you think there shouldn't be and then you find yourself trapped in an area because there wasn't an invisible wall keeping you from jumping into a pit of lava that doesn't damage you at all and all the walls are too high for your bear knees to jump... Okay so yeah the randomness of the invisible walls would probably be my biggest complaint. So yeah, play it, it's free and pretty fun, and you play as a bear with a big ass sword, if that's not like the definition of bad ass I don't know what is. Also I'm gonna make a review for this on my youtube channel, Uri Moro, check it out :P Edit: I made the video mentioned above https://youtu.be/lHjc3AYlKH0
Игра 'Neeron: The Blade of Nature' - это глоток свежего воздуха в жанре Action-RPG.
A bear warrior whacks robots using elemental affinities. You have 3 weapon types (fire, water, grass). enemy robots are colour-coded to a dominant element, and each one has a weakness, rock-paper-scissors style. Run across a way-too-vast open world to defeat 3 big robots. As long as you use the correct element, they die in 3-5 hits. Smaller mobs tend to be much more dangerous. It's an okay proof-of-concept, and there's a neat system when you use your bonfires (the game tries to be a soulslike) to pray for weather (sunny, rain, cloudy) to boost affinitiy to the corresponding element. It's an extra element, but it doesn't really add much. The map is generally too big, poor waypoints, clipping bugs (you can stroll under rivers and through waterfalls, and then have difficulty climbing back up. Overall, I find this one hard to recommend, even though it's free. If you want to see a bear whack robots with a melee weapon, it's fine. But I did not find the overall expereince particularly enjoyable.
Very interesting
