Need for Speed™ Unbound

I bought this for €3 and couldn't even bring myself to play for an hour. To me, this doesn't feel like a Need for Speed game. It feels like a generic racing game made just to appeal to today's TikTok generation. The cars look absolutely amazing. They're detailed, polished, and visually impressive. But then you have cartoon-style characters and flashy comic effects everywhere. If I wanted that, I'd watch a cartoon, not play Need for Speed. It completely kills the atmosphere. The story mode is another problem. Every time I'm trying to enjoy the sound of my car, the characters won't stop talking. I want to hear the engine, not endless conversations. The PC settings are also disappointing. You can't properly customize the graphics. Instead of adjusting things like shadows, reflections, textures, or water quality, you're stuck with simple presets like Low, Medium, and High. If the game doesn't run well, too bad. You can't even remap your controller buttons, which is such a basic feature that there's really no excuse for leaving it out. And those cartoon effects while drifting or boosting... I genuinely don't understand why they thought that belonged in a Need for Speed game. It completely clashes with the identity the series built over the years. After playing this, I understand why the franchise ended up where it did. It's a huge disappointment, and even at €3, I regret buying it.
