An unquenchable multiplayer strategy game where bugs clash over the sweet nectar of sugary beverages. From Beetle Brigade to Spidey Party, you will artfully master strengths and shortcomings to topple boba shops and coffee bars. The countertop mayhem has begun.

the idea is pretty cool, and its have some good potential, but the gameplay is pretty basic, same as the graphic, and the interface is a bit "too much" on the screen, but cool idea.
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There are no available servers and no player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
Nectar of the Gods is a very unusual and (perhaps needlessly) convoluted strategy game that, despite the complexity, is ultimately just a playerless PVP soldier attack/defense game... the overarching game meta is all about having more resources and spamming better units faster, but, in fairness there are some deeper strategy elements... that nobody got into, because this is a dead PVP game. You can play against the AI but this is pointless, and it's clear from the intention... and the non-free nature of the game (check out the insane price the developer is charging to unlock the full game) that this is intended to be a PvP game with hopes of "going viral". Spoiler: It did not go viral. This is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content, 1v1 vs AI really doesn't count. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the game. They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. The game features really lacklustre hand-drawn 2D visuals, pictures of a bunch of different bugs, (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs to pretend they're mobile phones. Heck, mobile phones can do 3D graphics these days, too. There's really no excuse. On pricing and value for gamers, this isn't really free as you're expected to pay up $18 USD to unlock content/DLC ($13 to unlock all the factions in the game, and $5 worth of soundtrack panhandling), the game should not be considered completely unlocked until you empty your wallet for the developer. Advertising the game as free when it isn't is misleading... it's something that discourages me from recommending games to people. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope, it's dead.
