I have been playing this game for a year, and I highly recommend it! Few FPS games require the skill and practice like this one. I think it's pretty cool to see it out on steam, instead of being just in your browser. The satisfaction of taking out a powerful player with a noob bow is cool, skill takes the front row in this game! However, having good gear is essential if you are to hold your own for any length of time, and I do wish you got a little more coins so you could upgrade a little faster. It would also be nice if the Pelican Party could finish out some of the programming tying the browser version to the steam one, I have thousands of coins on my browser account and even some Fearless stuff, but I can't get it to sign into that account on steam. Also it would be nice to see the coins awarded after each game, I miss hearing the sound of the coins rolling in after each match, even though I still get them. Overall, I highly recommend this game, and have done so to all of my friends! This is definantly a game I will keep playing as long as it is available!
This game is fun, the community is basically dead now, but it works with friends
I played this game when it used to be on Itch.io, I loved it and used to play it whenever I got home. The devs never updated this game or clearly never tried to, the newest content this game ever got was the Pelican+ subscription. It's not only the lack of updates that caused to forget about this game, but the lack of support as well, there is no balancing for weapons nor any way to contact support about accounts or cheaters. Speaking of which, this game has too many bugs, which is forgivable on Itch, but unacceptable here on Steam. The achievements for this game are too hard for anyone sane to reasonably achieve them all. The devs never listen to feed back and all they care about is money, which in game is handled very poorly. On Itch, you could double your match earnings by watching an ad, making it feel like a worthy reward and easing the grind for those items I thought looked cool. On Steam however, the option to double your money is gone and everything on the game is worth any times more, making it impossible for new players to get invested and interested. The gameplay loop was fun and simple, a capture-the-flag game, which for an Itch.io title first perked my interest, I originally hoped for the option to start private servers or change the game rules to include more options, like changing the number of flags or players. They did eventually add other game modes but they constantly rotated and you never knew what it was going to be, the option in the menu to toggle these other game modes off didn't work and regardless, you were put into a game you didn't like, no matter what you did. It's honestly heart breaking to see that glitches and meta that people complained about and abused are still present, such as melee spamming and spear-boosting, showing a clear lack of initiative by the devs to work on the game any further. Lastly, if you are still reading this, I ask of you to please play something else, check something else out on Steam and Itch.io and give someone else more deserving, your time and attention. TL:DR - This game had potential and the devs didn't care, play something else.
我虽然steam上只玩了25min 但是我在itch账号上已经玩了超过12h了 游戏整体不错 而且对我来说很新颖
Underrated asf.
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This is a simple PvP mobile app that got dumped on Steam, but at least it's not fully infested with nasty microtransactions. That doesn't mean it's a great game, it's dead. It's "Capture the Flag" focused FPS arena shooter with a biblical history theme, graphics so bad you'll cringe, and no players except after Sunday school. "Narrow One" is a failed PvP game. Why is it dead? It's time for a video game autopsy! The vast majority of PvP focused games on Steam are failures. Most fail because developers assume just because the game project code completes a successful build, the game will instantly and magically "go viral" just for existing. There's nothing in this to appeal to gamers that hundreds of other PvP games are already doing better. PvP games face extreme competition, PvP gamers have plenty to choose from and they gravitate to where all the other players are. This game didn't offer anything to peel those PvPers away from the PvP games they're already invested in. It had no upfront cost, but gamers still rejected it. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the Game. They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. This is a mobile app... it doesn't matter if this hit Steam Direct before the app stores rubberstamped it, or if it failed to even reach the app stores. This was made for the most basic of all gaming platforms, the lowest common denominator for gaming, and it needs to be treated as such... it won't provide a high-end PC gaming experience. That detail alone is reason enough to reject this from any kind of recommendation to PC gamers. We don't invest thousands into bleeding edge gaming PCs so we can treat them like iPhones and play mobile apps. Even though the game looks pretty bad (and decent visuals are a minimum requirement for any game), we can be fairly sure this is not an asset flip. This is because the game assets look so bad, no self respecting asset creator would publish them. That's a fail. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets of any level of quality usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free, that was a dismal public reception. But if you take into account the problems I bring up in this review, it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. All other issues aside (any of which would disqualify this from being worth your time), this is a game that relies on other players for it to be viable, and because there's not enough players, it's not viable. I can't recommend anyone downloads this, it's basically dead.
♥♥♥♥ ass game
