Nancy Drew®: Secrets Can Kill REMASTERED

Not the best in the series---the original was a little better than the remake.

[h3]positives[/h3] - Short and simple mystery - puzzles all made perfect sense and were fun to solve - Steam lets you take screenshots of clues or books so you don't have to run back - everyone hates Jake and talks mad ♥♥♥♥ and it's fantastic - mini games are completely optional, god bless - some classic, almost Sims-esque Nancy Drew deaths like when i accidentally [spoiler]blew up the school[/spoiler] - these games suddenly become horror games in certain parts and it's mind blowing i played this as a kid

The game is still worth playing, but it's not a well-made remaster. The graphics are inconsistent: some a blurry, some are OK< (but still worse compared to successor's "Shadow at the Water's Edge"). Music is not remarkable and quite annoying in Diner location with some random and I guess buggy sounds of alarm or door knocking. The atmosphere (apart from aunt Eloise house) is boring and the school feels empty. "Barnacle Blast" is the only mini-game present in this title and is pretty hard and buggy (it can freeze for the slightest moment that makes you lose a ball). Especially considering the fact that you need to reach level 20 for the Award. Plus, some of the character's speech lines are not in logical order. On the bright side, the story is good with a nice twist in the end. Although there are not many in-game puzzles the "solving" progression is still interesting. It requires finding pieces of information, combining them and figuring out what to do next on your own.

Great for Nancy Drew beginners, or those wanting pure nostalgia vibes! Puzzles are overall easy and you don't get lost and confused about what to do in this one! A great starting point for those getting back into the Nancy Drew Universe!

Amazing, beefy final puzzle. I just wish the 'first step' isn't locked behind dialogue progression that is quite easy to miss and cause player to go back and forth trying things out without results.

The story is great but the game keeps crashing on me.

This is very clearly the first made of the Nancy Drew Games - it's boring and tedious. There are little to no puzzles; it's all just talking to people

Я рекомендую все игры Нэнси Дрю, так как считаю эту серию поистине уникальной! Поэтому мой отзыв будет "положительным" не смотря на всё написанное ниже. Именно эта часть, пожалуй, самая душная из всех, что я играла. Локации однообразные. Читать 15 одинаковых записок на одинаковых стендах просто невообразимо скучно. И хоть и шифры довольно интересные, но по факту они почти не имеют никакого значения в игре. Было бы намного интереснее, если бы Нэнси не допускала нас до осмотра каких-либо предметов, пока мы не сделаем декодирование.... В прошлых частях, например, Нэнси предлагала записывать решения на листочках и комментировала все наши действия. Здесь создается ощущение, что ты играешь отдельно от Нэнси, а она просто ходит и щупает всё подряд по наитию... Так же СКРИПТЫ, более бесячие мне ещё не встречались. Меня не допускали к сюжетному событию просто потому что я не рассмотрела близко плакат, который в целом мало на что влиял... Да и издалека был прекрасно виден/читабелен. Потратила 4 часа на прохождение, 2 из которых просто пыталась понять, что я не сделала... Из приятного - яичко можно получить ЛОГИЧЕСКИМ путем, а не как во многих других играх серии. Плюсик поставлю сюжету, он действительно интересный. Правда Нэнси очень радостно регаирует на убийство, что вызывает некоторые вопросы :D Вообщем эта игра 5 из 10, и 3 балла здесь просто потому что это моя любимая Нэнси!

An old game, remastered, but smells like the same game with some diferent ending, Don't like the upgraded version. But it's OK, not the better game of serie Nancy Drew,

I would recommend and the game was fun. But MUCH shorter than I was expecting. so if you're expecting a lot of puzzles, this one is not for you.
