This game has 5 screens - that is it. It took me less than 5 minutes to play. .1 hours and I am done! I do not like this....
I do not recommend this game, it is so short it's over before you have begun. It's very boring. There are only five screens and each screen takes one minute or less to complete. I've had free demo's that last way longer than this. I love hidden object games and have many in my collection but this is ridiculous. I realise this is an EA game but it should not have been released in this condition. Five screens lasting less than a minute each is no way to show the world what the developer can do and to me it smells badly of a cash grab. My advice is to wait and see how much more is added to the game before you spend money on it.
Is this some kind of joke? My 5 yr old daughter completed in 12 minutes. Good God, why is this on steam? What a scam.
It's only a hidden item game if you're a visual impaired 5 years old. Find 5 of one thing. Found them? Good, now find 5 of this other thing. After 10 or 12 rounds (I wasn't counting) it was finished. I wasn't trying to go fast and it only took 8 freaking minutes to finish. For $1.99 USD it's a total ripoff. You want a good hidden item game play Hidden Folks, Hidden Through Time or the "find the difference" game Tiny Lands. Don't buy this simplistic money grab.
This is an unbelievably short game. I've spent nine minutes to complete it. It could take a minute less if I didn't close the game after the first level and open it again. And since this game gave no saves, I had to complete this one level again. Anyway, the game is so short that it doesn't need saves. There's some kind of story, but it suddenly abrupts and leaves us nowhere. It feels like a prologue to a game that's not released (or will never be released). The art is very simple. Very. But it's okayish for me. And there are like ten (maybe fifteen at best, I'm too lazy to count) screens. All hidden objects are terribly easy to find. They all were in plain sight. The music was nice, BTW. I paid 55 cents but nine minutes of my life worth more than that. This game may have some potential if it would be long enough to finish its d*mn story and would ask to find a variety of items on one screen, not just five the same things. But I cannot recommend this game, even at 55 cents price.
Warning: Asset Flip!
Mysterious Island - A Hidden Object Adventure is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Dnovel/Studio2760/My Way Games/FreeAnimals_Software/Trinity Project (how many accounts does this guy need to use when scamming gamers?), took a template from the godawful Cocos2D construction kit, slapped a couple of minimalist drawings on it, and dumped the results onto Steam as a cash grab scam, as if this was a game he'd actually made himself. To get your money for someone else's work. That's a scam. Dnovel/Studio2760 has shown a repeated pattern of ripping off Cocos2D templates and dumping them on Steam. Don't believe me? Here's some other asset flips from exactly the same template, all shamelessly dumped on Steam as nasty cash grabs:

"Something Weird in Space - A Hidden Object Adventure", copy + pasted from the same template by Dnovel
"Green Diver", copy + pasted from the same template by Dnovel
"Moi Mei: Hidden Objects", copy + pasted from the same template by Dnovel
"Abedot Family Estate: Search For Hidden Objects", copy + pasted from the same template by Dnovel
Look for yourself... these are all reskins of exactly the same game! The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Mysterious Island - A Hidden Object Adventure" is just a simple Cocos2D template for making an extremely poor quality hidden object game for mobile phones, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips are an insult to both PC gamers and to professional game developers who create genuine, high quality PC games. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have. They make it harder for gamers to find genuine games made by honest developers. To cement the position of this asset flip as nothing but a cash grab, it was dumped onto cheap DailyIndieGame shovelware bundles very shortly after launch. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Dnovel/Studio2760.
Easy Hidden Object game. Easy Achievements, 100% / 5min.
the concept even if not new is good, the game will match for kids! very short, hidden folk will give you a better challenge.
