A pixel roguelike with four classes and random map generation and drops that can make or break reaching the end. Combat follows a turn based, 5 lane structure, making it necessary to move around and make sure attacks fall in range of the enemy.

About
Four adventurers suddenly find themselves in a world that doesn't seem their own. Legends speak of a plague threatening the land and of their destiny to become heroes, but these four can only think of themselves.
Accompany these adventurers as they traverse a world full of questions, show them the value of heroism, and guide them on a journey to save a world on the brink of collapse.
Play with friends or on your own. Each player selects the adventurers they want to control, so even if a player is missing you can still play.
Decide your moves and coordinate with your team, then watch combat unfold as each character preforms their skills in speed order.

Like any classic RPG you gain exp after each encounter. Leveling up gives you skill points to invest in con, dex, int, and str. Investing in certain stats also allows you to move up the skill tree to unlock moves.
Each adventurer has a unique set of moves and three skill trees, so you can modify each character to your playstyle or keep the game interesting on subsequent playthroughs.

Characters spawn with passive effects and many skills inflict status effects. These modifiers mix up gameplay and encourage strategic workarounds. For example frostbite, which not only helps against enemies that rely on speed, but can also synergize well with short cooldown builds to proc extra damage more often.

The gameplay of Mysteria is closely intertwined with it's story. As your journey progresses the mystery of this land slowly gets revealed through visual novel cutscenes. If reading is not your thing, don't worry there is also a skip button.
Along with shop and treasure encounters there are also choice encounters. These are little parts of the story where you can make your own choices with a chance for greater rewards at greater risk. Speaking of shops and treasure...

At shop spaces you can purchase and sell items for trinkets. Shops typically sell more common items that are used frequently. Treasure spaces give you a choice between three items. Treasure and choice encounters are how you get some of the rarest goodies in Mysteria.
All items you find are either equipment that you can equip to gain a game changing passive, or usables that can be used in combat to fill in niches skills can't do. Like throwing a dagger at a goblin just a little to far from sword range.

Replayability is important, and because of that the gameplay of Mysteria is heavily randomized. Each game you play generates a different map so the path you take along with it's twists and turns are never the same. Along with this the enemies you face, treasure you find, loot in shops, and choice encounters are all randomized!

At the end of each biome a grand fight awaits to stop you on your journey to save Mysteria. These fights require extra strategy, time, and patience. They are here to challenge you, but they aren't here to stop you from playing the game. Mysteria can be played across four difficulties to accompany players ranging from never having played a game before to masochists.
