There seriously need to fix the optimization issues. It crashes constantly and you lose your progress because you can only save by sleeping in your bed... For a game that makes you grind to progress, this is really frustrating...
Enjoyable, perhaps unexceptional. It tries to keep its focus on the community but in the end you've got to be here to enjoy feeding extracted resources into machines.
Fun crafting game, but I need to stress this is not a dedicated farming sim. Farming is a part of the game, but you are a builder/crafter in this game. Now there's a lot to see, a lot to do, and even a skill tree thrown in there with various action combat styles. My initial one line review would be "Good, but mileage may vary due to how the game handles its mixture of systems." There are flaws dotting the game here and there. Nothing game breaking, but I would say the best way to enjoy this game is just follow your thoughts, even if it feels aimless at times. There's a main story, and more than enough happenings to keep you busy. Though most of my fun came from just setting a in the moment goal and seeing if I could get it done before I lost interest or had something far more important come up. As of writing, I haven't played Sandrock (the follow-up to this one). For all I know, Sandrock fixes a lot of problems you may find here so if you think you might want to leap ahead because other reviews say it's better, I wouldn't advise against it. One extra thought is mods can help fix some of the issues you may come across, though I usually try to weigh the value of a game prior to mods. Long review short: A fun game that is more about gathering materials to build where things can feel a little underbaked or maybe buggy at times, but nothing that's going to ruin the value of the game.
I've had this game in my library for a long time... I should have played this game sooner, honestly. I've heard so many good reviews about the "My Time at" series, but I was tempted to skip straight into Sandrock. I'm glad that I didn't. I really enjoy Portia (quirks and all!) and I imagine I'll have plenty more hours on record as there's still so much left I can do.

My Time at Portia is one of those rare games that completely pulls you into its world without you even realizing it. What starts as a simple workshop-building game slowly becomes an incredibly charming life sim filled with memorable characters, satisfying progression, exploration, crafting, farming, dungeon crawling, and surprisingly emotional story moments. There is always something meaningful to do, but the game never feels stressful or overwhelming. The crafting and workshop system is easily one of the best parts of the game. Watching your tiny, run-down workshop slowly transform into a massive production empire feels incredibly rewarding. Every new machine, upgrade, and commission gives a genuine sense of progression. What really makes Portia special though is its atmosphere. The town feels alive, the NPCs actually have personality, and over time you become genuinely attached to the people around you. The art style, soundtrack, humor, and overall vibe create one of the coziest gaming experiences out there. The amount of content is honestly insane for the price. Between the main story, side quests, relationships, exploration, combat, mining, farming, decorating, and upgrading your workshop, it’s extremely easy to sink hundreds of hours into the game. Even years later, My Time at Portia still stands as one of the best relaxing progression-based games on Steam. If you enjoy games like Stardew Valley, Rune Factory, or Harvest Moon but want something more focused on crafting and building, this is an absolute must-play.
如果您的年龄超过3岁,那这游戏会非常浪费您的时间
Most of the game revolves around waiting endlessly for in-game craft times to run. You'll be sat for hours just to make 5 panes of glass... the tracking is poor and the achievements look like they need multiple run throughs
I have played this before on PS4 (and got platinum), and I remember disliking a lot of things, replaying this, they really are irritating lol. Now, with mods here on PC, this is a 100 times better experience. Also, having playing Sandrock, I would say get that, they fixed so many issues this game has. TLDR: Play it with mods, trust me, get more trees, save anywhere, store from anywhere, make machines work faster, etc. The game is a HUGE grind (especially at the beginning), unfortunately, some of it is fun, but most of it is very stretched, like main story idk why they keep doing this (it is also the same in Sandrock). Like you can go 3 - 5 in-game days with no main mission! But my main advice, get the second one if you can.
本来觉得人物捏的丑一直收藏夹吃灰,玩开了上头得不行,两眼一睁就是抢订单,看久了对npc竟然生出一丝别样的情感(看顺眼了
