My New Memories

This game has been on hiatus for a very long time and your guess is as good as mine if it will ever be finished. I would recommend not buying it *at least* until they start to work on it again. Even updates on the status are few and far between because "nothing has changed." They are working on other things. You should too.

This game has not received an update in years. The developer attacks those who complain about the delays in the forums. All purchasers receive are half a story and an update message every five months to tell everyone about how he can't provide an update because it is someone else' fault.

Two years since the last update. He claims the police took his computers. But now he wants you to buy another unfinished product, My New Memories, The Beginning. Don't waste your time or money, you'll just have another "never to be finished" VN in your library.

Still no updates. Been waiting years. The game should be pulled.

At first I was a little confused about what the Dev was talking about, with the rendering and such. But after playing this I understood. I can see why their stuff was impounded for evidence. His daughters... The story says they're 18, 19, and 21. But they look 10, 12 and 14, for the MC's main daughters. His niece/daughter looks 16. And his adopted daughters looked 16 and 18. So yeah, I can see why. IDK if their ages were changed in the story somewhere before I got to try this, but all renders lean towards it being so. The Devs claim that they're going to get back into this and actually change the characters to actually look the age they're supposed to be. IDK though... That means they'll need to strip and remake the whole AVN to actually make that happen. That would also mean they need to remake ALL characters. Because the Sisters, Wife, and Mother would also need a revamp. The mom still looks younger 30s instead of 60-something. The sisters need aged to 44 and 40. The wife was already a year older than the MC, so she needs remade to 45, and her sister to 40. Means the MC is also 44, same age as his twin. SO yeah, it needs a complete makeover from the base code up. Ok, artistry isn't bad for a 2021 release though. Not too many claymation crap things going on with the CGI. SO I'd have to say good job with that. Especially because it was a '21 release. Because A whole hell of a lot of '21 releases look like sh__t. The story took 28 hrs to complete. Although, I skipped about 30% of it, because it got very boring and tedious. Sad thing is the spelling and grammar mistakes. There was actually a lot of them. He even said thanks to his proofreader. I'm not going to say it was a good idea to hire that proofreader though. They missed a lot of sh__t. Even the German speech had errors. So the proofreader actually sucked at the job they were hired to do. Fire that aszhol and hire someone competent. With the way it looks now, I can't recommend this... The characters look underaged. And the spelling and grammar mistakes are too many. I even played the prequel AVN to this. And NOTHING in the prequel means squat in this. Hell, the mom had a half sister last name Berkley. Only 1 sentence about them moving away was mentioned. Not a thing about Aunt or cousin. No mention of Anne's cousin Rae, which the MC met before Anne came back. No mention of his best friend Jackie. Absolutely nothing tied them together. Which really sucks. Hell, they even changed the way the MCs dangly looked between the 2. Just too many discrepancies between the 2. So yeah, not recommending. Probably wouldn't even if they do remake the whole thing.

[b] My New Memories [/b] - это весьма своеобразная визуальная новелла для взрослых, рассказывающая о мужчине, попавшем в аварию со своей женой, после которой он потерял память, а его жена попала в кому. Пытаясь вспомнить свою жизнь до аварии, он начинает общаться со своими родственниками и психотерапевтом, при этом жена также приходит к нему во сне и рассказывает, какой необычной семьёй они были, от чего у мужика волосы шевелиться начинают. Но посмотрев, что в семье все нормально к этому относятся, быстро втянулся. По сути после 3 главы можно заканчивать игру, поскольку злодей наказан, жена очнулась, но видимо автор в будущем хочет показать нам, как наш главный герой из своей семьи сделает свой личный мини гарем. Из особенностей игры можно выделить две: 1) Присутствие интересной опции, при которой в начале игры одну из своих дочерей можно сделать трансгендером, ранее в других играх ничего подобного не встречал; 2) Очень-очень много текста, зачастую сплошная вода, которую просто устаёшь читать и начинаешь проматывать, поскольку общий смысл и так понятен. Видимо наличием большого количества текста автор хотел показать, как сильно он старался над историей, но вышло это так себе. Визуальная составляющая и внешность женских персонажей сделаны весьма хорошо, анимации в игре в настоящий момент не много, но и они сделаны на довольно приемлемом уровне, где-то им не хватает плавности, но это уже придирки. Возможность выбора в игре также присутствует, но как сильно он влияет на историю, пока сказать сложно, поскольку игра не окончена. С последнего обновления игры прошло более 21 месяца и сказать будет ли она закончена, это заниматься бессмысленным гаданием. Из приятных мелочей в игре имеется 47 достижений Steam, игровые карточки, фоны и смайлики, но чего в игре нет, так это русской локализации, что делает игру не такой привлекательной. Рекомендовал бы я данную игру только в том случае, если Вам интересна не законченная история, Вы любите больше читать, чем смотреть контент 18+ и Вы свободно понимаете английский язык или нашли русификатор. P.S. Играйте только в хорошие игры и получайте от этого удовольствие!

It begins with a potential good story but it stalls quickly and can reach very cringy territories... The good: - Story has potential - Everyday conversations/chit-chat is not bad for characters building/evolution - Story's time flow is nicely done. The Bad : - Humor attempts are at best mediocre and most of the time cringeworthy - writing is bland and English is not natural - Lack of choices for the MC in what should a regular human being do The very bad: - the MC's wife displays several dark triad traits to justify concerning behavior ([spoiler] I mean... the MC ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ his sister in law and/or his sisters, why not : they are adults. but with their children... WTF ? The casual sentence “Love is love” in a context that appears to normalize or excuse potentially predatory behavior is deeply cringe to me. - In addition, three of the children are absolutely not looking nor behave like 18+ characters. Big no for me. - That dialectic between the MC and his wife is stupid : in the beginning, it's "Oh, it's my wife's will, not me, not me I swear !" and step by step it's normalized as "well i have dark desires and am so lucky to have a naughty wifey" In a nutshell incest is throw to your face in a wrongful manner, and "Love is love" is a red flag for me. In addition everyone is in awe toward the MC's wife... While in reality she displays manipulative traits : Isolation of the family, toxic personality, and very irresponsible behavior. [/spoiler] There are far better adult VN to read.

Slow game with too many characters. Rarely feels like anyone is being developped or getting enough screen time cause there are just so many of them. The amnesia is pretty annoying cause it's constantly used as a reason for restraint from interacting with people how you'd like. The love interests in the first few chapters are the least interesting and least attractive of the group. Not a fan of how the coma stuff plays out either it was building up to an intersting plot concept then takes the least interesting path. Worst part is that the game is very slow to update and reach completion yet the author decided to split his attention by creating a prequel before the main entry was even completed. Best not to give money to people who don't complete what they started and likely never will.

This is one of my favourites, the story is so rich and the characters are awesome. I just hope the Author gets to finish this.
