My Magic Assistant (Whether You Like it or Not!)

I wanted to like this, i find gender bender games fascinating myself. Not exactly common to find them (or if they are, i don't know where to look), and in an appealing artstyle? Like a dream come true. And you probably can enjoy the game just fine if you just turn your brain off and don't think too hard about what everyone does but... [spoiler] Yeah i really can't ignore our protagonist being forcefully transformed, raped, forced to dress like a woman and use products made for women, and having to be a magic assistant just to possibly be turned back, only for the game to not acknowledge that and have the two get along like its a rom-com anime... That just makes me feel all icky inside. As another reviewer said, relationship felt unearned, and i didn't really want to force myself through the rest of the game to see what changes if the game already showed me loud and clear what it thinks about Leona. [/spoiler] If the developer or anyone else wants to let me know how the reader was supposed to feel, the intention behind certain decisions, or even if i'm just a dunce and i missed some cruical context. I'm all ears, i'm still interested in the developers future works after all. But other than that... yeah. I really wanted to like this, but i can't. I'm sorry.

This is a visual novel with about two hours worth of content. The prose is good, it's certainly not broken english/badly translated like some VNs out there. It's got plenty of fantasy fulfillment if you're into the gender transformation niche. Plot spoilers ahead: I do think that the relationship with Leona is a bit unearned. She transforms you into a girl by force, basically forces you to work as her assistant and all the sudden the main character likes Leona? It feels like Leona could've used a lot more moments where she tries wins the player's affection. Leona could've realized what she did was immoral and maybe offer to turn the player back early. There isn't any self reflection in Leona's part and no redemption for her whatsoever. Regardless, I'd still recommend it if you're into the gender transformation and sub/dom niches.

First off if you're someone that is not a fan of gender swapping this might not be for you. The MC in this starts you off as a Male but shortly later gets turned into a Female. During this VN and the choices you make you'll end up having a few choices of do you want to return as the same sex, stay in your current gender or try to be able to change genders at will. You'll have one male and female to interact with during this story. There's music to listen to, sexual sounds but there's no sexual animation nor voices in the VN. There are several ways your story could end. My first play through took about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to play and I've started another go around. I did get this on sale (25% off) but I would say it's still worth the full price.

Short game, but really fun <3. You have some decisions that let you take advantage of different situations. The animations are good. Especially if you enjoy games where the male protagonist transforms into a female character, this one is for you.
