My life with you

8/10 Короткая игра (у меня заняла около 20 минут) о нелегкой судьбе матери-одиночки, вопреки всему ищущей счастья для себя и своего сына. По игровым механикам очень похожа на более популярную Florence. Здесь мы так же выражаем мысли и переживания через действия с окружением. Удивительное. Я понимаю, что бесплатные игры не должны быть длинными, особенно если авторы считают, что все нужные мысли сформулированы. Но у меня осталось ощущение недосказанности во многих сюжетных сценах. Дальше - спойлеры! Например, неясно, почему сына травили и как семья справилась с этим? Какой вообще статус у нового мужчины в жизни нашей молодой мамы? Свадьбы и новых детей вроде не было, но он при этом рядом на протяжении многих лет. Почему та же начальница, что ругала героиню, потом ее вдруг повышает? В общем, когда ставишь перед собой задачу показать двадцать лет жизни человека за двадцать минут, поневоле приходится опускать детали. Но не отпускает мысль, какой яркой историей это могло бы стать, если бы игра длилась раз в пять дольше. С более сильным эмоциональным вовлечением для игрока, который успеет узнать эту семью гораздо ближе. Разве не это главная идея игры - заставить переживать? Плюсы. - Очень красивая рисовка. - Игровые механики, напрямую двигающие сюжет, - это всегда круто. Минусы. - Не заметил, помимо отмеченных выше. Приключение длиной в жизнь за двадцать минут. Бесплатно. Почему бы и нет? Действие, полагаю, происходит в Бразилии, потому что оттуда сами разработчики.

"My life with you" is barely a game, it's more of a point and click interactive cartoon, only about the dismally sad struggles of single parents. Why does this need to be a video game on Steam? It doesn't. And, "art" or not, it's important that anything published as a PC game on Steam should look, feel, and play like a PC game and not a website. Itch has one job, and it's not a hard job, but they failed again... to keep amateur stuff in their weird hugbox where everyone claps and says "Good job!!!" at every bit of amateur drivel (which nobody actually plays) and away from gamers. Unfortunately this has leaked out onto Steam platforms and now gamers have to put up with yet another bit of poorly made amateur shovelware. For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static text/images... it might as well be a web page. It's functionally no different from a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at [b]only 5 concurrent players[/b]... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Given that this free title won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? This one scores a "nope". While it won't necessarily cost you money, the time and hard drive space it requires could be better invested in one of the many higher-quality alternatives on Steam.

My Life With You is a short and beautiful interactive comic about the life of a single mom. it has beautiful art and is free for anyone to try out, so why not give it a try!

Got to chapter 2 and couldn't get passed the teeth brushing. I didn't even know I was suppose to do that until I hovered and saw a small hand to click and then understood that I had to click and hold and move the mouse side to side to do the brushing but I've been "brushing teeth" for a whole 6 minutes and doesn't move past that panel. Uninstalled and reinstalled to see if it was a bug and same thing, won't go past that brushing panel. Unfortunate as I was enjoying the story.

Lovely short game, with amazing art 🫶🏼

Joguinho brasileiro curto, arte muito bonita em estilo aquarela e história tocante, vale a pena jogar. Só tem algumas partes que são meio confusas porque o jogo não explica qual movimento você precisa fazer com o mouse, mas tirando isso é bom.

Free to play, 0 achievement, super short visual story about a mom raising a child on her own. Some of the puzzley parts took a minute to figure out what to do because there are 0 hints or explanations, but the art is gorgeous. My feelings however veer more towards the neutral side of things, because while I enjoyed the art, there really isn't much to this game.
